MWC 2017: The final handset to be designed by Blackberry is the KEYone

Blackberry took to MWC 2017 to make an announcement which was a long time coming. The KEYone is the final handset to be designed and engineered in-house by the company. Later products will be designed by partner TCL.

The KEYone features both touchscreen and keyboard input with the spacebar also doubling as a fingerprint sensor. Capacitive navigation buttons are situated just above the keyboard and the keys can be assigned various shortcuts. The screen is protecting by Gorilla glass and has 3:2 aspect ratio seen in the LG G6 and Panasonic Toughbook CF-33.

The rear camera uses a Sony IMX378 sensor while the front camera has a wide angle lens with flash. Running on the latest Android, the device will also come pre-installed with BlackBerry Hub and the signature DTEK security suite.

The device will go on sale abroad from April 2017 with no mention of an Indian release date.
