Xiaomi today expanded its Redmi lineup with the new Redmi Y3 and Redmi 7 smartphones in India. The Redmi Y3 takes over from last year’s Y2 phone and now comes with an upgraded 32MP selfie camera, improved design and better processor.
The Redmi Y3 boasts an Aura Prism Design that shows off a subtle colour change when light reflects on the device. The phone is powered by Snapdragon 632 platform with Kryo 250, 3GB or 4GB of RAM, 4000mAh battery, 32GB or 64GB internal storage and 6.26-inch dot notch HD+ display.
The Redmi 7 has got an all-around upgrade with the same Snapdragon 632 processor, 2GB or 3GB RAM option, 6.26-inch HD+ dot notch display, 12+2MP AI rear camera, 8MP front camera and 4000mAh battery.
As for the availability and price, the Redmi Y3 will go on sale from April 30 in Bold Red, Elegant Blue and Prime Black colours for Rs. 9,999 for the 3GB+32GB variant and Rs. 11,999 for the 4GB+64GB variant. The Redmi 7 on the other hand, will go on sale a day early than the Y3 in Eclipse Black, Comet Blue and Lunar Red for Rs. 7,999 for the 2GB+32GB variant and Rs. 8,999 for the 3GB+32GB variant.
