VU has announced a refresh of its TV range that features VOD Upscaler for improved picture and audio quality.
Vu says content from Netflix, Youtube, Amazon Prime and few more are shot with state-of-the-art equipment and the new technology combined with machine learning algorithm and DSP helps to deliver a much better viewing experience.
While the technology does not necessarily upscale the resolution but focuses on the colours, contrast and audio.
Currently, three lines of VU TVs come with this tech – Pixelight, UltraSmart and the Premium Android series.
The first two series feature panels ranging from full HD to 4K and run Vu’s proprietary OS based on Linux. The Premium Android series is an upgrade to the last year’s variant with official Android OS, better design and Dolby Vision support. Interestingly, all the models support Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and YouTube.
