Samsung Galaxy Wath4 Series and Galaxy Buds2: Pre-book now for introductory offers

Tech giants, Samsung, have announced the launch of their latest Galaxy Watch4, Galaxy Watch4 Classic, and Galaxy Buds2 in India. The Galaxy Watch4 series is designed to promote holistic health and wellness among users and the Buds2 are designed to be worn all day whilst delivering premium-quality audio. Pre-booking for both these devices have begun and the details on how to do so are below. But first, let’s go through the specifications of each.

Galaxy Watch4 Series

Designed to be an example of ‘elegance and intelligence’, the Galaxy Watch4 comes in a premium round design, high-resolution 1.4-inch Super AMOLED screen with a colour depth of 16M. It is powered by a dual-core 1.18GHz processor and is equipped with a 1.5GB RAM and a ROM of 16GB.

The Galaxy Watch4 weighs just 30.3 grams and is integrated with a 361mAh battery that has a typical usage time of up to 40 hours. Samsung’s BioActive Sensor helps users actively track their fitness progress with providing details and measuring the users’ body fat percentage, skeletal muscle, body water, and much more.

Additionally, the Galaxy Watch4 can also detect and track up to 90 different exercises/fitness routines/sports, and helps users check their calories and stay on the grid through its GPS. Its sleep tracker also analyses the users’ sleep stages and helps check the blood oxygen levels and snoring patterns as well.

Samsung lets the users choose from a variety of bands, including a Hybrid Leather band, and a Sports band, to match their desired look and which would go well with the Watch4’s ‘Armor Aluminium’ metal frame.

The Galaxy Watch4 runs on WearOS which is powered by Samsung and is built by Samsung and Google. Users can enjoy an array of Google apps and Galaxy services from their wrists.

The Watch4 comes in 40mm and 44mm dial variants, each coming with Bluetooth or LTE connectivity options. The Watch4 Classic comes in 42mm and 46mm dial variants, sporting the same connectivity options as the Watch4. Check the table below for their prices.

Galaxy Buds2

The Galaxy Buds2 are Samsung’s lightest and smallest buds yet, and they come in the iconic curved shape. The Buds2 are equipped with advanced Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) technology that blocks out ambient noise, while they can also be adjusted to let users listen to the sound around them with reduced latency.

The Buds2 sport a dynamic two-way speaker which delivers a rich, clear, and well-balanced sound. The three-mic systems embedded in the earphones, allows users to reproduce clear sound on calls and/or while recording.  

Galaxy Buds2 will be available in Graphite, White, Olive Green and Lavender and priced at INR 11999.

Introductory Offers

Consumers can pre-book Galaxy Watch4 Classic, Galaxy Watch4 and Galaxy Buds2 on Samsung’s website and across leading online and offline retail stores starting August 30, 2021. The sale will commence from September 10, 2021. On pre-booking Galaxy Watch4 Series, consumers will be eligible for e-voucher worth INR 6000. On pre-booking Galaxy Buds2, consumers will be eligible for e-voucher worth INR 3000.

Samsung Galaxy M51 comes with a monstrous 7000mAh battery

In exactly a week from now, the Samsung Galaxy M51 will be launched in India and apart from Samsung’s trustworthy image and reliability being the main appealing factors, this smartphone offers some fantastic features for everyone, especially those who end up spending a lot of their time on their phones.

The Samsung Galaxy M51 is the newest addition to the long-running Galaxy M series. The M51 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 730G, a relatively superior 2.2GHz octa-core processor and known for its efficiency. The M51 also boasts of the Qualcomm Adreno 618 GPU that delivers up to 15% faster graphics rendering than a device powered by Snapdragon 730.

What really steals the headline is the battery. The Galaxy M51 features India’s first 7000mAh battery that enables users to make the most out of photography, videography, gaming and other features. A Type-C 25W fast charger can charge the smartphone fully in less than 2 hours. The M51 also has reverse charging through a Type-C to Type-C cable.

The M51 is equipped with a 6.7” sAMOLED Plus Infinity-O display and the smartphone offers an internal storage of 128GB which can be expanded to 512GB. The Galaxy M51 features a quad-cam setup in the rear with a 64MP main which utilises the superior Sony IMX 682 sensor, which is also great for capturing photographs in low light. A 12MP lens offers a 123-degree field of view, a 5MP macro lens is also an upgrade as compared to what many phones in this range offer, and so is the 5MP depth sensor.

The M51’s camera setup supports shooting 4K recording, hyperlapse, slow-mo and super-steady modes of capture. The 32MP front camera also supports 4K video recording and slow-mo selfies. A new ‘Single Take’ option utilises the AI-engine to record 10 seconds of footage and split that into 7 photos and 3 videos.

The Samsung Galaxy M51 will sell in two RAM variants: a 6GB and 8GB RAM which will cost Rs. 24,999 and Rs. 26,999 respectively. The M51 will be available in Celestial Black and Electric Blue colour variants and honestly, we think this phone is going to steal the show this year.

Samsung announces the Galaxy S20 series

The Samsung S20 series is set to embrace the developments of the new decade with its 5G capabilities and innovative AI camera tech. The S20 series features three new flagship smartphones: Galaxy S20, Galaxy S20+, and the Galaxy S20 Ultra with a 6.2”, 6.7” and 6.9” AMOLED 2X display respectively. These phones offer premium features giving the best out of everything, from photography and streaming content, to playing console-style games.

Samsung have really strived hard to enhance the photography experience of users by equpping the Galaxy S20 phones with the biggest image sensor they’ve designed until now that paves the way for clear, sharp and detailed images with an increased camera resolution. The S20 has three rear cameras (64MP+12MP+12MP), whereas the S20+ and S20 Ultra feature a quad camera system with 64MP+12MP+12MP+DepthVision camera and 108MP (yes, you read that right, 108MP!) + 48MP+12MP+DepthVision cameras respectively. With camera systems of all three phones offering the largest aperture of f/1.8, in addition to wide, ultra-wide and telephoto views, its much easier to take crisper images even in low-light situations. The S20 and S20+ offer a 10MP front camera whereas the S20 Ultra offers a whopping 40MP front camera. AI-powered camera systems in the S20 and S20+ offer up to 30X zoom whereas the innovative folded lens in the S20 Ultra offer up to a impressive 100X zoom with a clear view.

The Galaxy S20, S20+ and the S20 Ultra feature a 4000mAh, 4500mAh and 5000mAh battery respectively and are all capable of wireless charging with the Fast Wireless Charging 2.0 tech. They are also capable of Wireless PowerShare where they can charge devices compatible with Qi wireless charging.

Foldable Galaxy Z Flip is Samsung’s most stylish start to the new decade

Following up on their engineering breakthrough in the Galaxy Fold in 2019, Samsung have launched the new Galaxy Z Flip which is a remake of the decade-and-a-half old flip phones but with style. The Galaxy Z Flip, as one can see and guess, features a foldable display, delivering a fresh new experience of smartphones to users like never before.

The Galaxy Z Flip features a 6.7-inch AMOLED display that automatically splits into two 4-inch screens when free-standing allowing users to multi-task via the Flex mode. The Infinity Flex Display with Samsung’s innovative Ultra Thin Glass utilises a new “Hideaway Hinge” that ensures each and every flip and fold is smooth and stable. This enables the Z Flip to stay open at a range of angles, like a laptop screen.

Running on a Snapdragon processor, the Galaxy Z Flip comes with an 8GB RAM with 256GB of internal memory storage. Samsung’s commitment to lead the foldable smartphones category, the Z Flip’s dual 12MP f/1.8 and f/2.2 cameras allow shooting in all sorts of conditions, regardless of whether the phone is folded or not. The cameras are also capable of capturing 4K videos. The 10MP f/2.4 front camera is also aids in creating content while eliminating stability issues.

The Galaxy Z Flip also supports Samsung’s ecosystem like Samsung Health, Samsung Pay, Samsung Knox and more. The Galaxy Z Flip comes with a 3300mAh battery and is equipped with the Fast Charging tech. It is also capable of wireless charging as well as Wireless PowerShare that allows to wirelessly charge other Qi-enabled devices.

The Galaxy Z Flip will be available in limited quantities of Mirror Purple and Mirror Black colours from February 14, 2020.

Samsung Galaxy Note 9 goes on sale in India

Samsung’s latest flagship, the Galaxy Note 9 was launched in India at an event in the capital. All the details were already available to us as it was unveiled at a global event in New York earlier this month.

The Galaxy Note 9 sports a massive 6.4″ Quad HD+ (1440x2960p) Super AMOLED Infinity Display panel that is protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. It is powered by an octa-core Exyns 9810 processor, 6/8GB RAM, 128/512GB storage and a 4000mAh battery. The storage can be expanded via microSD card by upto 512GB. The main highlight of the device is the Bluetooth enabled S Pen that helps provide remote control functionality to the device.

At the back is a dual rear camera setup that includes a 12MP dual pixel sensor with a wide angle lens having variable f/1.5 & f/2.4 aperture and a 12MP autofocus telephoto lens with f/2.4 aperture. They come with dual OIS support, 2x optical zoom and 10x digital zoom. At the front is an 8MP autofocus selfie lens with f/1.7 aperture. A special scene optimiser that can detect 20 scene types intelligently helps enhance images further.

For security, there is face unlock and iris scanner and a rear mounted fingerprint sensor backed by Samsung Knox and biometrics. The stereo speakers and bundled earphones have been specially tuned by AKG audio. The Note 9 and S Pen are IP68 rated.

Priced at Rs.67,900 for 6GB RAM/128GB and Rs.84,900 for 8GB/512GB, Samsung Galaxy Note 9 is available for purchase online and offline. Current launch offers include Rs.6,000 cashback on HDFC Bank debit/credit cards and HDFC Bank no-cost EMI. There is also Rs.6,000 extra exchange discount on select models and Rs.6,000 cashback on PayTM Mall.
