ASUS ROG Azoth Wireless Mechanical Keyboard is a true enthusiast-grade keyboard that blends luxury, performance, and innovation in one meticulously engineered package.

The ROG Azoth is not just another high-end mechanical keyboard. It’s ASUS’s statement piece in the gaming and productivity world. With its exceptional craftsmanship, premium materials, and host of custom features, it redefines what a pre-built keyboard can achieve.
From the first touch, the Azoth feels undeniably premium. The chassis boasts a simpler, more elegant color scheme that complements its robust aluminum top plate and refined aesthetic. It’s solid without being overly heavy, exuding an aura of quality that few keyboards can match.
One of the standout features is the integrated OLED display and multi-function control knob, which take functionality to a whole new level. The small but sharp screen is now a touchscreen, offering a truly interactive experience. The control knob, flanked by up/down keys and a side button, feels smoother and sturdier than before, an upgrade from the original Azoth.
The OLED display isn’t just a novelty; it’s deeply practical. You can monitor system performance, visualize audio, count keystrokes (KPS), or even personalize it with custom animations, GIFs, and wallpapers. ASUS has even added the ability to adjust brightness, which helps prevent burn-in, a thoughtful touch that underscores attention to detail.

Performance-wise, the ROG Azoth is an absolute delight. Over the past month of continuous use, the battery life has been phenomenal. Even with all LEDs set to 100% brightness (they’re capped at 50% by default), the keyboard easily lasted two weeks of daily use before needing a recharge. When it does, the fast charging via USB PD takes it from around 15% to 100% in just 2.5 hours.
Connectivity is another strong suit. The tri-mode hybrid wireless support offering 2.4GHz low-latency, Bluetooth 5.1, and wired USB-C ensures seamless switching between devices without lag or disconnection. It’s one of the few keyboards that genuinely feels uncompromised in wireless mode, working flawlessly across both Windows and macOS.
Typing on the Azoth is nothing short of exceptional. The factory-lubed ROG NX mechanical switches deliver a buttery smooth, consistent feel, while the hot-swappable sockets (3-pin and 5-pin) let you easily change switches to suit your typing preference. The pre-lubed stabilizers, foam layers, and silicone gaskets contribute to a dampened, satisfying sound profile: muted, deep, and premium.
Customization is where the Azoth truly shines. Through ASUS’s Armoury Crate software, you can tweak per-key RGB lighting, assign macros, and remap keys to fit your workflow. There’s even support for per-key 16.8M RGB effects, offering endless aesthetic options.

Despite being an almost perfect package, there are a few small gripes. The OLED screen, while incredibly useful, could be slightly larger for better visibility. The Armoury Crate software still needs optimization, it’s powerful but not as intuitive as it should be. The opaque keycap legends might wear out over time, and the keyboard only comes with two switch variants, leaving tactile lovers with limited options. And of course, at nearly ₹30,000, this is an expensive investment, though arguably justified for what it offers.
