Every year, we see smartphone companies adding new features to their devices but one area where most companies have lagged behind is the battery tech. Luckily, smartphone accessory makers have filled the void with a variety of power banks and the latest to join the crowded market is Stuffcool’s 20,000mAh offering.
Power banks are more about the function than the form but Stuffcool’s device needs a special mention. We won’t call the power bank lightweight, understandably, because of the large capacity battery housed inside but it’s compact with a good aluminium finish. There are four LED indicators on one side and a power button on the other. Connectivity-wise, there are two regular USB ports with support for Quick Charge 3.0, a microUSB port and a Type-C port. While you can use the microUSB port to charge the power bank, the Type-C port supports both input and output.
As far as performance goes, the Stuffcool 810 delivers what it promises. We’re not sure of the exact conversion rate (the actual mAh capacity) but the device could charge Apple’s iPhone X and the Google Pixel 2 XL with no hiccups. We got about 2-3 full recharges while charging both devices simultaneously, including fast charging for the Pixel device.
The power bank is BIS certified and even comes with an intelligent control circuit for protection of overcurrent, overpower and short circuit ensuring the connected device is safe. Moreover, Stuffcool promises a complete charge and discharge cycle of over 500 times.
In a market where consumers are spoilt for choice, Stuffcool 810 is a great addition that brings quick charging for devices, support for multiple interfaces, reliability and huge capacity.
