Samsung today announced their new range of SUHD TVs in the Indian market. The new flagship range adds Quantum Dot Color technology that produces up to 1 billion colours, enabling a life-like and an immersive experience.
Samsung says their Quantum Dot technology is better than the competition as it uses RGB pixel implementation, thus generating true 8 million RGB pixels compared to RGBW pixel implementation that produces around 6 million RGB pixels. The TV is also equipped with HDR 1000 that delivers improved contrast for better picture quality.
In addition to better picture quality, Samsung TV adds a lot of other features like customisable user interface with Smart Hub, auto device detection that detects the connected device automatically and works with a single remote control, integrated DTH support (currently only with Airtel) that removes the need to have a set-top box connected, 2-way Bluetooth audio, streaming content from mobile devices and PCs.
Samsung will sell the SUHD TV in sizes from 48-inch, priced at Rs. 1,79,900 and goes up to 88-inch priced at Rs. 23,99,900.
Samsung also introduced its new range of Smart TV and Joy Beat TVs that boasts louder music and bass with the front firing speakers with tweeters.
