Celebrate this Star Wars Day online

May 4, 2020 by T3 India

May 4th is unofficially and unanimously declared as a day dedicated to one of the cinematic franchises and universes ever created – Star Wars. The popular saying ‘May the fourth be with you’ is punned on the popular catchphrase right out of the epics which is: ‘May the force be with you’.  In honour of the gigantic legacy and impact of Star Wars on all of us, we have decided to collate a few links to help you enjoy all-things Star Wars – be it the iconic movies, games, TV serials, or goodies – which are not in a galaxy far, far away but just available through the click of a button.

First off, if you wish to do a Star Wars movie-marathon, all the 9 episodes (movies) are available on Disney+ Hotstar online. Yes, even the latest Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, which released in December 2019, is available. Here is the link which will direct you to the Star Wars page on Disney+ Hotstar. Do watch them in order of their release date i.e. Episode IV: A New Hope, Episode V: The Empire Strikes Back, Episode VI: Return of the Jedi, Episode I, II then III and then the newer ones: Episode VII, VIII, and the series finale IX.

In addition to the movies, Disney+ Hotstar also has the latest Star Wars spin-off TV Show called The Mandalorian – which hit the charts and raised eyebrows with Baby Yoda winning the internet (sorry for the spoilers). The famous Star Wars Clone Wars’ final season is available too. Even the fantastic movie, Rogue One is available along with the other spin-off Solo, a movie based on the early days of Han Solo.

When it comes to games, we highly recommend the new Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order, and Star Wars: Battlefront II, the latter bearing a fantastic multiplayer system which was also received a lot of criticism for its ‘pay to win’ structure. But still, it has been updated and it’s a lot of fun. You can play on PS4, Xbox One and PC. Older classics like the Knights of the Old Republic is available on platforms like Steam.

Smartphone users can also play the classic Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic, which is designed for Android, and games that area available on both iOS and Android, like LEGO Star Wars, Star Wars: Galaxy of Heroes.

With delivery of Star Wars items being uncertain during the lockdown, we hope that accessing all-things Star Wars through the digital world would be enough. Stay safe and enjoy these movies and games at home. May the fourth be with you. Always!

Now you can jump into the Star Wars universe

November 24, 2015 by James Peckham

A new Google Cardboard VR experience is launching on December 2 that will mean you can fully immerse yourself into the Star Wars universe.

It’ll come out on the official Star Wars app for both iOS and Android.

There’s been an awakening

It’s official content made by Industrial Light and Magic’s AR and VR department. That’s the same team that previously made a VR video for Facebook that saw you ride on a speeder across the Tatooine desert.

There’s a specially designed Star Wars cardboard available in the US through Verizon, but it’s not quite certain whether that’ll be coming to the UK. You may have to just use your standard Google Cardboard unless you’re a particularly good artist.

What’s not exactly certain yet is where we’ll be visiting, but the creators have confirmed it ties directly into the opening scenes of Star Wars: The Force Awakens.
