Asus Reveals Vivobook Lineup

Asus unveiled its 2022 lineup of Vivobook Pro series, Vivobook S series and Vivobook 13 Slate OLED Artist Edition laptops at an online launch event entitled The Pinnacle of Performance.

Vivobook Pro 16X OLED

The Vivobook Pro series new models for 2022 include the 16-inch Vivobook Pro 16X OLED (N7601/M7601), the 15.6-inch Vivobook Pro 15X OLED (K6501/M6501), the 14.5-inch Vivobook Pro 14X OLED (N7401), the 16-inch Vivobook Pro 16 OLED (K6602), and the 15.6-inch Vivobook Pro 15 OLED (K6502/K6500/M6500).

The Vivobook Pro 16X OLED features components including up to 12th Gen Intel Core i9 12900H or AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX processors with up to 32 GB of DDR5 RAM, studio-grade NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti graphics and an ultrafast 2 TB PCIe 4.0 SSD. Asus IceCool Pro thermal technology allows creators to harness a total combined CPU and GPU TDP of up to 140 W.

It comes with a 16-inch 3.2K 120 Hz OLED display, with refresh rates up to 120 Hz and 0.2 ms response time. The Pro series is PANTONE Validated for industry-standard colour rendering, up to VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600 certified for high contrast and deep blacks and has a cinema-grade 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut. Other key features include fast I/O capabilities, which include a 40 Gbps Thunderbolt 4 or USB4 port and HDMI 2.1, along with USB 3.2 Gen 1 and USB 2.0 ports, an SD Express 7.0 microSD card reader, a 2.5 GbE LAN port, and the latest WiFi 6E. It comes with a long-lasting battery 90 Wh battery and US military-grade durability. Apart from the 16-inch variant, the Vivobook Pro series also comes in 14-inch, 14.5-inch and 15.6-inch size variants.

Vivobook S 16X OLED

The Vivobook S series laptops are reported to be the thinnest and lightest in the Vivobook family, with a chassis profile measuring from 17.9 mm thin and weighing 1.6 kg. The 2022 Vivobook S series lineup includes the 14.5-inch Vivobook S 14X OLED (S5402/M5402), the 16-inch Vivobook S 16X OLED (S5602/M5602), the 14-inch Vivobook S 14 OLED (K3402/M3402), and the 15.6-inch Vivobook S 15 OLED (K3502/M3502).

The Vivobook S 16X OLED comes in an all-metal construction with a new chassis design in Midnight Black, Solar Silver or Sand Grey colour variants. Its comes with up to 12th Gen Intel Core i7 12700H (with Intel Evo certification on selected models) or AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX CPUs, along with Intel Iris Xe or AMD Radeon graphics, upgradable 16 GB DDR4 RAM and an ultrafast 1 TB PCIe SSD. It is capable of CPU performance up to 45-watt thermal design power (TDP), enabled by Asus IceCool thermal technology.

It uses OLED NanoEdge displays with resolutions of up to 4K and response times as low as 0.2 ms. These displays have a cinema-grade 100% DCI-P3 colour gamut, are VESA DisplayHDR True Black 600 certified and are PANTONE Validated for colour accuracy. This too uses a Harman Kardon-certified audio system that includes ASUS AI Noise-Cancelling Technology for crystal-clear communications. Apart from the 16-inch variant, the Vivobook S series also comes in 14-inch, 14.5-inch and 15.6-inch size variants.

 

The Vivobook 13 Slate OLED Philip Colbert Edition and the Vivobook 13 Slate OLED Steven Harrington Edition are two limited-edition versions of the Vivobook series.

Designed in collaboration with world-renowned artists Philip Colbert and Steven Harrington, the Artist Editions feature themed hardware, exclusive accessories and packaging, all designed in collaboration with the artists themselves. These editions represent the world-view of the artist, with specially commissioned themed accessories including a cover stand, smart cover, sleeve, stylus holder and packing featuring their original artwork. Both editions are also available with an optional artist-designed Asus Marshmallow mouse. As of now, no pricing or availability related information has been revealed by the company.

Asus launches 3 new Vivobook laptops

Asus has launched a trinity of new VivoBook laptops at an event today. These include the VivoBook 14 X403, VivoBook 14 X409 and VivoBook 15 X509.

VivoBook 14 X403 (From Rs.54,990) is equipped with a 14″ FHD (1920×1080) display having 16:9 aspect ratio and 87% screen-to-body ratio with 4.1mm thin bezels on the side. It runs on the 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8265U processor paired with 8GB LPDDR3 RAM and 512GB PCIe Gen3 SSD storage. Integrated Intel HD 620 GPU handles the graphics while dual stereo speakers provide sound output. Coming in Silver Black, inside is a 4 cell 72Whr battery that the company claims to provide atleast 24 hours battery life. It has undergone MIL-STD-810G testing with the build perfectly capable of handling rough usage.

VivoBook 14 X409 (From Rs.32,990) packs a 14″ FHD (1920×1080) LED display with 77.5% screen-to-body ratio. There are two variants with the base model powered by 8th Gen Intel i3-7020U while the other uses an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8265U processor. Both come with a fingerprint sensor, 2-cell 32Whr battery, upto 12GB RAM, upto 512GB PCIe SSD or 1TB HDD, choice of Intel HD 620 or discrete Nvidia Geforce MX230 GPU. Transparent Silver and Slate Grey are the two available colour variants.

Finally, VivoBook X509 (From Rs.30,990) bears a 15.6″ (1920×1080) FHD LED display with 82% screen-to-body ratio. It comes in 3 variants with the base model using 8th Gen Intel Core i3-7020U, the mid version an 8th Gen Intel Core i5-8265U and the high end version an 8th Gen Intel Core i7-8565U processor. The rest is identical to the X409 with a 2-cell 32Whr battery, upto 12GB RAM, upto 512GB PCIe SSD or 1TB HDD, choice of Intel HD 620 or discrete Nvidia Geforce MX230 GPU.
