Kodak HD LED TVs partners with Amazon India for Kodak FAB TV Fest as title sponsor

Kodak HD LED TVs have announced their partnership with Amazon India for FAB TV Fest as its title sponsor. The brand is offering exciting deals on their official CA PRO and Kodak Matrix QLED Series. Amazon launches sounding Echo Dot 5th Gen

Amazon announced the launch of the all-new Echo Dot 5th Gen with improved audio, Ultrasound Motion Detection, temperature sensor, and tap gesture controls – available at an introductory price of INR 4,999, between 2nd to 4th March 2023. With in-built Ultrasound Motion Detection and temperature sensor that allows customers to set up helpful smart home routines with compatible electronics to ‘automatically switch on the room lights on entering the room’ and ‘automatically switch on AC if the room gets too warm’, respectively.

The Echo Dot is Amazon’s bestselling smart speaker. Customers can just use their voice and ask Alexa in English, Hindi, and Hinglish –to play music, jokes, games, control smart home appliances, set timers, add items to lists, create reminders, pay bills, and more.

Echo Dot 5th Gen’s redesigned audio architecture features a custom full range driver and the highest excursion speaker of any Echo Dot, delivering clear vocals and up to double the bass of the previous generation—all within the same size and spherical form factor. Customers can just ask Alexa to play their favorite songs from free and subscription-based music streaming services such as Hungama, Spotify, JioSaavan, Amazon Prime Music, Apple Music, and others. Customers can also play music from their smartphones on the Echo Dot via Bluetooth.

With Ultrasound Motion Detection, customers can automate their day by creating smart home routines such as have Alexa turn on compatible-lights or play music when you enter the room. Echo Dot 5th Gen has an accelerometer that enables tap gesture controls, so customers can simply tap the top of the device to pause and resume music, dismiss timers, or end Alexa-to-Alexa calls. Echo devices include a microphone on/off button and the ability to view and delete your voice recordings.

Echo Dot 5th Gen is priced at INR 5,499, and will be available at an introductory price of INR 4,999 during Alexa’s anniversary celebrations on 2nd, 3rd & 4th March’23 on Amazon, and online and offline stores of Croma, Reliance Digital, Poorvika, and others.

Amazon introduce male voice option for Alexa’s responses

To celebrate fifth anniversary of Alexa, Amazon will be announcing offers on best-selling Alexa devices that include Echo smart speakers and Fire TV devices from 2nd – 4th March 2023. Customers can also shop from a curation of smart home gadgets and Alexa built-in devices from brands such as boat, Noise, Philips, Syska and more.

“It is humbling to see many Indian users enjoy interacting with Alexa as part of their daily routine. From Jan-Dec 2022, requests to Alexa for music increased by almost 53%, with customers streaming songs through providers such as Amazon Prime Music, Spotify, JioSaavn and Apple Music. Customers placed 600% more requests on Alexa-enabled Fire TV devices searching and controlling play back of their favourite content. They enjoyed making hands-free bill payments with Alexa on Echo devices, transactions increased by 102%. Requests to Alexa for controlling smart home appliances increased by 515%. Customers’ love for interacting with Alexa is reflected in the questions such as “Alexa, how are you”, and “Alexa, I love you”, an increase of 214% and 275% respectively.

For the first-time, Indian users will be able to switch between Alexa’s original voice and a new masculine sounding voice. The new voice can respond in both English and Hindi languages. Users can change Alexa’s voice by saying “Alexa, change your voice” on the Echo device or from the Alexa app by going to individual device setting and selecting Alexa’s voice. Customers can use any of the wake words including Alexa, Echo, Computer and Amazon to ask questions in English, Hindi and Hinglish.
