Lenovo has taken its own sweet time but the company has finally launched a new phone in the Indian market – the K8 Note.
Just like previous Note devices, the K8 Note focuses on entertainment with support for TheaterMax, Dolby Atmos and a large 5.5-inch display.
But that’s not all. The K8 Note is the first Lenovo device to come with dual camera at the back and ditches Vibe UI for a clean stock Android experience.
In terms of hardware the phone comes with a MediaTek Helio X23 processor, 3/4GB of RAM, 32 or 64 GB of internal storage, dual SIM support, dedicated microSD card slot, a large 4000mAh battery that supports Rapid Charge, 13 + 5 megapixel camera at the back, 13 megapixel on the front with flash.
Design-wise, the phone boasts a metal body with durable water repellent design, Corning Gorilla Glass 3 to protect the display and a dedicated key on the side of the phone to control music.
The phone will sell exclusively on Amazon India for Rs. 12,999 for 3/32GB variant and Rs. 13,999 for 4/64GB.
Users will also get data from Idea, Moto Sports Headphones at a discounted price and Kindle book discount.
We’ve played briefly with the phone and it feels solid with the stock Android experience a welcome change. It’s really early to guage the camera quality and the battery life of the phone but rest assured we’ll be giving it a thorough look in our next month’s issue.
