To address the lack of clarity and ‘oomph’ in the sound systems of today’s televisions, Yamaha launched two additional entry-level soundbars, namely, the SR-C20A and the SR-B20A. Yamaha’s strives to deliver a better viewing and gaming experience by improving the overall sound quality. Let’s throw some light on the features of each of new models:
The 600mm-long SR-C20A is designed in a way to fit into environments with limited space like game stations, bedrooms, offices, etc. It is just 64mm high and it is equipped with two full range drivers and a 100W subwoofer, along with two passive radiators to help deliver more bass. The SR-C20A comes with an HDMI-ARC port, two optical inputs, and an analog stereo mini input for consoles and other devices. The SR-C20A is compatible with Dolby Audio surround as well.
Compared to the SR-C20A, the SR-B20A is slightly slimmer with a height of 53mm, but much longer as it’s 910mm wide. Additionally, the B20 is also covered with a sleek, deep black fabric and has larger, dimmable LEDs for visibility when changing settings. The SR-B20A is compatible with DTS Virtual:X and strives to deliver a 3D audio experience.
Connectivity-wise, the SR-B20A is similar to SR-C20A. Both also feature Bluetooth v5.0 which also allows to switch between devices, including Alexa. Both are integrated with Yamaha’s Clear Voice technology which upgrades dialogue clarity. Each soundbar also has a range of customisable sound modes – standard, stereo, game, movie, and a virtual sound mode. They are also integrated with easy access buttons on top for quick volume control, changing sound modes, and more.
When connected to the TV, each soundbar can be controlled by the TV remote. Additionally, along with its own remote, each soundbar is also supported by the Sound Bar Controller App on smartphones.
The SR-C20A and the SR-B20A, both, cost Rs. 20,490. For the complete review of the product, visit this page.
