“100 Days, 100 Stories” — Celebrating India’s 3D Printing Entrepreneurs
As part of its larger vision for the industry, WOL3D has also launched its “100 Days, 100 Stories” initiative, showcasing the journeys of 100+ entrepreneurs and innovators using 3D printing to build businesses, develop products, solve real-world problems, and create new opportunities. The initiative aims to demonstrate that the impact of 3D printing cannot be measured only by the number of machines sold.
It can also be measured by the businesses created, products developed, jobs generated, ideas commercialised and problems solved because the technology became accessible. From customised products and toys to engineering components, architecture, education, healthcare, automotive applications and new-age manufacturing, the stories highlight the expanding role of 3D printing in India’s entrepreneurial ecosystem.
From Industrial Machines to Consumer Manufacturing
For decades, 3D printing was predominantly associated with industrial prototyping, engineering and specialised manufacturing. WOL3D believes the industry is now entering its next phase the era of consumerisation of 3D printing. As desktop 3D printers become more accessible, easier to use and increasingly capable, the technology is finding applications among creators, students, hobbyists, designers, entrepreneurs, educators, engineers and small businesses.
Globally, the consumer 3D printing market is projected to grow from an estimated USD 1.17 billion in 2026 to USD 2.27 billion by 2032, according to a September 2026 market estimate. (360iResearch). India is also witnessing significant momentum. A recent market estimate projects the Indian 3D printing market to grow from USD 860.42 million in 2025 to USD 5.23 billion by 2034, reflecting the increasing adoption of additive manufacturing across industries and applications. WOL3D believes the next wave of growth will increasingly come not only from factories, but from homes, offices, classrooms, design studios, garages, creator communities and small businesses. The company calls these users “Pro Consumers” people who go beyond owning a 3D printer and use the technology to create products, customise objects, develop prototypes, solve problems, and build businesses.
50,000+ Users and a Growing Creator Economy
Over the past decade, WOL3D says it has built a community of 50,000+ 3D printer users, spanning creators, entrepreneurs, engineers, educational institutions, businesses and makers. The company has also built an ecosystem that extends beyond hardware, encompassing printers, filaments, resins, 3D scanners, laser engravers, accessories, services and support. WOL3D describes its own filament manufacturing capability and Brahma 3D Farm as important components of this integrated ecosystem. The scale of consumer adoption is reflected in the company’s material consumption as well. WOL3D currently sells about one filament every minute, highlighting how often consumers and businesses use 3D printing as a practical manufacturing tool.
Brahma 3D Farm: From Printing Machines to Manufacturing
A key part of WOL3D’s new-age manufacturing vision is Brahma 3D Farm its large-scale 3D printing farm designed to move 3D printing beyond prototyping into customised manufacturing, rapid production and end-use products.
The company has positioned Brahma as an example of how distributed manufacturing can change the traditional manufacturing model: instead of producing thousands of identical products through expensive tooling and moulds, digital designs can be transformed into physical products on demand.
WOL3D’s publicly available company information describes Brahma as a large-scale 3D printing farm and highlights its role in rapid prototyping, customised manufacturing, mass production and end-product manufacturing. (Wol3D)
