Zotac Geforce RTX SUPER

Zotac, Asus bring newly-designed Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 Series GPUs

September 4, 2020 by T3 India

Nvidia’s much-awaited GeForce RTX 30 series of flagship GPUs are going to literally change the game and their release isn’t far away. With some models planned to ship out during the second half of September, it’s time for gamers to upgrade their hardware and experiences to the next exciting level with these latest GPUs, thanks to Zotac and Asus’ gaming divisions.

The new RTX 30 Series GPUs are the second generation of Nvidia’s flagship RTX family and, as we had mentioned in the announcement of Colorful’s RTX 30 Series GPU launch, these newly-designed GPUs will feature new RT cores, Tensor cores, and streaming multiprocessors which will enable the users to view the graphics rendered into stunning 8K visuals. Utilising Nvidia’s Ampere architecture, the GeForce RTX 3090, 3080, and 3070 delivers 1.9x performance-per-watt over the previous generation and represents ‘the greatest GPU generational leap in the history of Nvidia’.

Zotac brings us a range of models, with the AMP Extreme one’s belonging to the top tier, the ‘Trinity’ under it and the ‘Twin Edge’ being the following one. The AMP Extreme features a holographic finish and a SPECTRA 2.0 RGB lighting. With a metal die-cast frontplate and backplate, the AMP Extreme models are physically durable and they also feature ‘POWERBOOST’, which is a high-temperature resistant chip that enables ‘continued longevity and stronger performance’.

The Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 30 Series also features the Trinity and Twin Edge models which are essentially triple fan and dual fan models. Both these models and the AMP Extreme come with the more-refined IceStorm 2.0 cooling system, which encompasses the use the of the new 11-blade fan – which, in turn, increases airflow by up to 10% over the previous generation –  the refined heatsink design, improved heat pipe layout, and wider coverage.

As of now, the Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 3090 Trinity, the Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 3080 Trinity, and the Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 3070 will be available for Rs. 1,47,990, Rs. 69,990, and Rs. 49,990 respectively. More information on the Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 3080 Trinity Holo, the Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 3090 AMP Extreme, the Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 3080 AMP Extreme, and the Zotac Gaming GeForce RTX 3070 Twin Edge Holo will be released soon.

Asus have also announced the launch of the ROG Strix, TUF Gaming, and Dual versions of the Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 series GPUs. Similar to Zotac, all of ASUS’s GPUs also feature an upgrade in the thermal design leading to superior performances.

Starting with the ROG Strix GeForce RTX 30 Series, these GPUs feature a trio of Axial-tech fans where the central fan consists of 13 fan blades and a full-height barrier ring that provides boosted static pressure to ‘drive air through the heatsink fins and onto the GPU heat spreader’. The two fans on either side of the central one are equipped with 11 blades. With a metal backplate and a wide went, hot air escapes towards the chassis exhaust fans instead of being circled back into the GPU cooler. A Dual Bios switch allows builders to choose between ‘performance’ and ‘quiet’ profiles on the ROG Strix GPU. All in all, with customisable RGB element, reinforced metal frames, and an amazing heat-dissipating design, the ROG Strix GPUs allow users to play AAA games smoothly.

The TUF range of RTX 30 Series GPUs feature three fans too that utilise dual ball fan bearings where fan rotation has been optimised for reduced turbulence resulting in a smoother performance while also providing advanced cooling. Fitting the bill with other TUF offerings, the components of the TUF RTX 30 Series GPUs are also selected based on their durability and overall performance. The GPUs go through a tough 144-hour validation trial as well.

The ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 3070 features two axial-tech fans which employ the ‘Auto-Extreme’ technology that reduces thermal strain on components. These models also feature an aluminium backplate and stainless steel I/O bracket.

More information on Asus’ range of RTX 30 Series GPUs will be out soon.

ZOTAC introduces new Geforce RTX SUPER graphic cards

July 3, 2019 by Ankush Mahajan

ZOTAC has expanded the Nvidia Geforce RTX lineup of graphic cards with the new RTX SUPER series cards. These are powered by Nvidia Turing architecture with specialised AI and ray tracing cores to give higher fidelity in supported games.

The RTX 2060 Super boasts of more CUDA cores, GDDR 6 memory, memory bandwidth and of course this leads to increased power. In addition to the aforementioned, RTX 2070 SUPER and RTX 2080 SUPER further gain NVLink support to encourage users towards trying out dual GPU PC builds. Overall, this should lead to better performance during real-time ray tracing with ray tracing cores and tensor cores when compared to the regular RTX series. With SPECTRA lighting, users can customise the brightness and colour with the FireStorm tuning utility software. All of the cards come with IceStorm 2.0 cooling that features an aluminum array heatsink with dual or triple fan configuration and copper heatpipes laid out for optimum heat transfers. Some of the higher end models are structurally stabilized with a die-cast metal plate protected with a unique metal wraparound backplate.

The pricing for the series is as follows:
ZOTAC GEFORCE RTX 2060 SUPER MINI Rs.35,590
ZOTAC GEFORCE RTX 2060 SUPER AMP Rs.37,990
ZOTAC GEFORCE RTX 2060 SUPER AMP EXTREME Rs.39,190
ZOTAC GEFORCE RTX 2070 SUPER TWIN FAN Rs.43,790
ZOTAC GEFORCE RTX 2070 SUPER AMP Rs.45,890
ZOTAC GEFORCE RTX 2070 SUPER AMP EXTREME Rs.47,290
ZOTAC GEFORCE RTX 2080 SUPER TWIN FAN TBA
ZOTAC GEFORCE RTX 2080 SUPER AMP TBA
ZOTAC GEFORCE RTX 2080 SUPER AMP EXTREME TBA
