Toshiba has announced the launch of seven new televisions, starting from 32” and going up to a 65” variant. The new TV’s being launched are from three series: the U79 – which is a premium UHD series, the U50 which is a UHD series, and the L50 Smart TV series.
Toshiba released two variants for the U79 series: the 65” and the 55” Premium 4K UHD TVs. And Toshiba has released three variants for the U50 series: the 55”, 50” and 43” variants. These two series have several features in common. The U79 TVs are for Rs. 66,990 and Rs. 46,990, while the U50 TVs are for Rs. 36,990, Rs. 32,990, and Rs. 27,990 respectively. Starting with the picture quality, the U79 and the U50 series of TVs support high dynamic range formats such as HDR10 and HLG. These TVs comprise of the CEVO 4K HDR Engine’s graphics processing power and the refined ‘4K Resolution+’ technology that upscales FHD content to Ultra HD 4K quality. Features like the Ultra Dimming technology, and Super Contrast Booster produce richer, deeper and vivid colours and visuals, while the AMR+ technology helps create an immersive viewing experience in fast-paced action scenes as well.
The U79 and the U50 range of TVs also comprise of Dolby Atmos, which further enhances the output audio quality of the 24W speakers. These TVs run on the VIDAA OS which is upgraded, faster, and much more customisable than before. It enables users to choose from 10+ regional languages, has 10000+ titles across major accessible platforms such as Netflix, Prime Video, YouTube, and more. These TV’s are also integrated with Alexa and come with a stylish voice remote.
With a bezel-less finish, the U79 and U50 TVs are slim and come with HDMI 2.0 ports along with HDCP 2.2 support. They also have a screen mirroring feature. Additionally, the U79 range of TVs are also equipped with the advanced MEMC technology that creates much more immersive and smoother visuals.
The Smart L50 series comprises of the 42” and 32” variants which cost Rs. 22,490 and Rs. 12,990 respectively. Offering a Full HD and HD resolution respectively, these TVs come with an ADS panel, CEVO Engine Premium, AMR+ Technology, Contrast Booster, and a Dynamic Mode. With 24W speakers, the L50 TVs also comprise of Dolby Audio, HDMI Ports, USB Ports, and the Screen Mirroring technology.
