Skullcandy’s new TWS earbuds with Active Noise Cancelling tech: Indy ANC

Skullcandy’s audio products need no introduction. The widely-trusted lifestyle audio brand has launched their first true wireless earbud which features the Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) technology: the Indy ANC.

Not-so-long ago, Skullcandy expanded their portfolio with the Indy series which consisted of a range of TWS earbuds in their traditional funky but impressive colours. The new Indy ANC features the series’ first TWS earbuds with active noise cancelling tech. More so, the Indy ANC also has the option to personalise the sound through the Skullcandy App, producing a much more immersive listening experience based on the users’ choices.

The Indy ANC comes with an enhanced and comfortable fit, and it also consists of an ambient listening mode which can help users be in tune with their surroundings while listening to music. Each bud can be used solo too and the Indy ANC sports a battery-life of 19 hours with ANC on. The Indy ANC are IPX4-rated offering water and sweat resistance. They also come with stability ear gels and ear gels of different sizes.

The Indy ANC comes with 12mm drivers, and weigh just about 76g. In addition of providing lag-free connections, Skullcandy mentions that the “Indy ANC combines the best features of the previous Indy earbuds to create the pinnacle true wireless experience”. Amlan Bhattacharjya, CEO, Brand Eyes – Distributor of Skullcandy in India said in the press release that “When it came to Indy ANC we listened — giving our most popular line the upgrades that customers have been wanting. We stand behind building quality products for every experience. Indy ANC do just that”.

Small products have a tendency to be misplaced but the Indy ANC comes enabled with Tile app, which helps finding such misplaced products and keeping them safe. The Indy ANC are available to pre-order on Skullcandy India’s website and they’re priced at Rs. 10,999. The Indy ANC comes with a USB-C charging cable and is available in just the True Black colour variant.

Skullcandy Indy truly wireless earbuds launched in India

Skullcandy has launched Indy earbuds, the latest addition to their truly wireless lineup following close on the heels of Skullcandy Push that we reviewed in the April issue. Indy comes in an elongated design reminiscent of Apple’s Airpods but at a much lower price.

Indy offers a total battery life of 16 hours that includes 4 hours in each bud and 12 hours from the charging case. They have an IP55 rating for resistance against dust, rain and sweat making them wearable in most situations. The capacitive touch controls help users with toggling them on/off, playback and overall operation of the earbuds. Coming with the latest Bluetooth v5.0 standard, they have a range of 33 feet.

The bundle includes 3 sets of eargels in small, medium and large sizes, a pair of stability gels, micro-USB charging cable and a user guide. Priced at Rs.7,499, Skullcandy Indy is available in Black for now but other colours like Indigo Blue, Moab and Mint will be coming later in the year.

Skullcandy launches Barricade range of Bluetooth speakers

Skullcandy has introduced a new line of Bluetooth speakers with the release of the Barricade line. The range features 3 sizes: Barricade Mini, Barricade and Barricade XL.

Barricade Mini is the most lightweight of the Barricade family making it suitable for on the go listening due to its portability. It comes with upto 6 hours of battery life, durable attachment loop, buoyant water and impact resistant construction.

Barricade is certified with IPX7 waterproof rating, floatable design, upto 8 hours battery life, external device charging, built-in microphone and AUX in/out functionality enabling multi-speaker connectivity.

Barricade XL is the most powerful of the range and has all the features of the Barricade. It has increased battery life of upto 10 hours, twice the driver power and enables multi-speaker pairing.

The Barricade (Rs.5,999) and Barricade Mini (Rs.3,499) are available online as well as at select retailers across the country. Barricade XL (Rs.11,999) will be available before the end of the year.

Skullcandy Method Wireless: The latest workout friendly earbuds

Skullcandy has expanded its sports-performance category with the launch of the Method Wireless earbuds. They incorporate the functionality of the regular Method earbuds with BlueTooth functionality.

They feature a flexible and lightweight FlexSport collar similar to the one found in Ink’d Wireless. DualLock technology provides stability and a noise-isolating fit suitable for longer workouts. Pureclean technology has been used in the ear gel, which helps keep them clean. There is also a built-in microphone for answering calls and comes with dedicated volume controls.

These performance earbuds have been designed to meet the demands of high-intensity interval training. Sonically welded parts help keep out moisture like sweat and rain while proprietary-fit technology works to keep them securely in place during workouts.

The Method Wireless earbuds are available online and at select retailers offline for Rs 5,299. They also come in a special model for women.

Skullcandy launches Ink’d Wireless headset

Skullcandy continues to expand its range of wireless headsets with the introduction of the Ink’d Wireless. The headset is a bluetooth-added upgrade of the Ink’d headset released a while back. The earbuds are designed to provide passive noise isolation.

The wearable features a low profile flex collar that disappears behind the neck and is also very portable. It collapses into one-third its original size to act as a storage unit. A dedicated volume and playback remote control is located on the flex collar for easy accessibility. The ink’d has a built in microphone to let users answer calls. On a full charge, the device provides upto 7 hours of battery life.

The Ink’d Wireless is priced at Rs. 3,999 and is available in all leading retail stores across the country.
