Micromax launches its first TWS earbuds: AirFunk 1 and AirFunk 1 Pro

Micoromax’s first ever True Wireless Stereo earbuds are on sale on Flipkart from 12pm, starting today, September 1, 2021. The Airfunk 1 and the Airfunk 1 Pro come with battery backups, seamless connectivity and intuitive touch controls along with delivering great sound quality. This new range of TWS earbuds are designed for those who are on-the-go whose time is filled with work calls, watching content, and more.

The AirFunk 1 Pro is powered by the Qualcomm QCC3040 chipset with cVc .0 and is integratedwith the ENC technology, which in combination with the quad microphone setup, help reduce ambient noise and boost audio clarity. Connectivity-wise it comes with the latest Bluetooth 5.2 with quick auto-connectivity.

The AirFunk 1 Pro features a battery life of 7 hours of the earbuds and a total of 32 hours with the case. It also features the mono and stereo usage options, allowing users to use either one of the earbuds while the other is being charged in the case. Smart touch controls and voice assistant support of Siri and Google Assistant enable users to manage their music and calls quickly and efficiently through simple tap functions.

Additionally, the AirFunk 1 Pro is also water and dust resistant as it is IP44 certified. Thus, users can wear them during outdoor workouts too.

The AirFunk 1 comes with an enjoyable 3D Surround Sound Stereo mode with right-left channel split which gives listeners an immersive experience to enjoy movies and music. Interestingly, the AirFunk 1 also features a “Voice ulta, game palta” feature which is essentially a ‘voice change function’ that lets users switch the pitch of their voice from feminine to masculine and vice-versa during a call through just a tap.

The AirFunk 1 gives 15 hours of playback time through the charging case, and 5 hours of battery life through the earbuds. It comes with a Type-C port for charging.

Micromax is back with two new entry-level smartphones

After a long hiatus in the smartphone market, Micromax have finally broken their silence and launched two new entry-level smarthpnes – namely, the IN Note 1 and the IN 1b – at affordable prices.

The IN Note 1 comes with a 4GB RAM and is powered by a MediaTek Helio G85 processor, and will be available in two storage variants: 64GB and 128GB. The IN Note 1 comes with the MediaTek HyperEngine Gaming Technology that provides users with a seamless gaming experience through minimising lags. Along with a 6.67” punch-hole FHD+ display, the smartphone is integrated with an A.I. quad camera system in the rear with a 48MP main camera.  The IN Note 1 is loaded with a 5000mAh battery that utilises an 18W fast charger. Additionally, the IN Note 1 also comes with dual-band Wi-Fi that helps with better data speeds.

The IN Note 1 smartphone is available in white and green colours and is priced at Rs. 10,999 (64GB) and at Rs. 12,499 (128GB).

The IN 1b, on the other hand, is powered by the MediaTek Helio G35 processor and it, too, is integrated with the MediaTek HyperEngine Gaming Technology. The IN 1b is equipped with 6.5” mini-drop HD+ display and comes with a dual camera setup in the rear which consists of a 13MP primary and a 2MP depth sensor. The smartphone is also equipped with an 8MP front camera. The IN 1b houses a 5000mAh battery and supports a 10W fast charger. The smartphone also possesses the reverse charging capability.

The IN 1b will be available in purple, blue, and green colours. The two variants, which are the 2GB RAM + 32GB storage and the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage are available for Rs. 6,999 and Rs. 7,999 respectively.

Huawei enters into a partnership with Micromax for distribution

Huawei Consumer Business group announced that they are entering into a strategic partnership with Micromax Informatics Ltd with an objective to expand its customer portfolio and presence in the offline market in India. The two companies will devise strategies that will help the brand gain a stronger foothold in the Indian consumer electronics market.

Currently, Huawei sells primarily through retail partners to reach out to existing and potential customers across the entirety of the country. Under the phased expansion plan, there is a planned presence to be in cities starting from Delhi, Mumbai, Pune, Chennai, Kochi, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Ahmedabad, Dehradun, Kolkata and Jaipur. Huawei currently has an R&D centre in Bengaluru which is driven by local talent who have significant contributions towards technological innovation.

R&D plays an important role in Huawei’s product offerings with the company investing around 10% of their revenue towards it. Their last year spending was over $15 billion and ranked 5th globally in the 2018 EU Industrial R&D investment scoreboard.

Micromax returns with Yu Ace

Micromax sub-brand Yu launched the Yu Ace smartphone for the Indian market. This is the first device from the company to be launched after almost a year.

Aiming at the budget segment, Yu Ace features a 5.45″ screen size with 18:9 infinity aspect ratio in a smaller form factor. Due to this, the fingerprint sensor has been shifted to the rear just below the camera. There is a massive 4000mAh battery packed inside that is also removable. The company’s proprietary Steroid launcher runs atop Android 8.1 Oreo with the Pie update on the cards. It runs on a quad-core MediaTek MT6739 SoC paired with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage.

Priced at Rs.5,999, Yu Ace will be sold exclusively online on Flipkart from 6 September 2018. By the end of September, a 3GB RAM/32GB storage variant will also be offered.

Micromax brings edge-to-edge display to the masses

Micromax unveiled their latest offering, the Canvas Infinity at an event in the capital today. This is the first smartphone from the company to feature an edge-to-edge display.

Thanks to the 18:9 aspect ratio, Micromax has managed to fit a 5.7″ display into an ergonomic form factor more commonly associated with smaller devices. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 processor paired with 3GB RAM and 32GB internal storage expandable upto 128GB via microSD. The 2900mAh battery is capable of offering talk time of 20 hours and upto 420 hours of standby time. The 16MP front camera has received special attention as it comes with f/2.0 aperture, 5P lens, selfie flash and real time bokeh effect. The 13MP rear camera is equipped with f/2.0 aperture and flash.

The device is running on Android Nougat 7.1.2 OS with the company promising that the Oreo update is coming soon. Micromax also announced a 24 hour service promise to repair or replace the device at Micromax Express service centres.

Canvas Infinity is priced at Rs.9,999 and will be sold exclusively on Amazon India from 1 September 2017 starting from 12pm. Registrations for the sale have already begun.
