April 4, 2017 by Ankush Mahajan

As promised by Moto last month during the G5 Plus launch, the regular G5 variant has been unveiled for the Indian market. The G5 is the successor the the G4 from last year.

February 27, 2017 by Ankush Mahajan

Although various leaks already divulged much about the G5 (shown above) and G5 Plus, Lenovo officially took to the stage to unveil them. Both the devices are set to succeed the G4 and G4 Plus launched in May 2016 last year.

The devices have adopted a metal clad body this time around making it a big change from the plastic body of the G4. Another departure for the G5 is the removable battery although that doesn’t seem to be the case for the G5 Plus.

Lenovo also brought attention to new mods for the Moto Z series. A new battery mod with 50% more battery life and smart charging mechanism along with a mod for wireless charging were shown. An Amazon Alexa mod was also showcased but it remains to be seen whether it will be come to India. A gamepad mod with additional storage and four speakers was also presented.

Both the devices will be available globally from March 2017 with the new mods following suit. No Indian pricing has been announced yet.
