According to Intel, there are over 580 million PC gamers and 130 million PC-based content creators today and sensing a huge market opportunity, the company has unveiled its 9th Gen Intel Core mobile H-series processors.
The top-of-the-line i9-9980HK is the first mobile processor from Intel that reaches a clock speed of up to 5GHz with Intel Thermal Velocity Boost, 8 cores and 16 threads, and 16MB of Intel Smart Cache.
The range, which also includes the Core i5 and i7 boasts improved performance and when compared to a three-year-old PC, there’s almost 33% performance jump and up to 28% increased responsiveness.
Intel has also worked with game developers to improve the overall gaming performance and now supports Wi-Fi 6 AX200 to drastically improve throughput and reduce latency by up to 75%.
Additionally, there’s Intel Optane memory and Thunderbolt 3 support that results in faster video editing, content loading and speeds up applications.
The chip will make its way to latest notebooks from different laptop players beginning April 23.
Moreover, Intel also expanded its desktop range with additions to its 9th Gen Core lineup as well as Pentium Gold and Celeron products.
