LG Electronics India (LGE India) has officially launched its 2026 home appliance portfolio, significantly expanding both its premium offerings and the “affordable-premium” Essential Series. The announcement, made on May 6th, underscores a dual strategy: deepening penetration in Indian households while positioning India as a central export hub.
Bridging the Gap: Premium Tech for Every Home
The 2026 range introduces advanced innovations tailored for the Indian market:
- Refrigerators: The debut of India’s first French Door Refrigerator with an Auto Ice Maker in the 33-inch segment, alongside expanded Side-by-Side and Essential Series models.
- Laundry Solutions: New AI DD™ 2.0 front-load washers that detect fabric types, and the “AX Series” semi-automatic machines designed for durability.
- Kitchen & Hygiene: The lineup features 15-place setting TrueSteam™ dishwashers optimized for Indian cookware (like kadhais), 28-litre convertible microwave ovens, and advanced water purifiers.
A key highlight of the launch was LG’s ambitious “Make-India-Global” vision. Having commenced exports in Q1-2026, LG targets shipping the Essential Series to 22 countries across Asia, the Middle East, and Africa by the end of the year.
“Our commitment is about delivering technology that is meaningful to Indian lifestyles,” said Mr. Hong Ju Jeon, MD of LG India. “We are raising the bar across multiple price points to cater to every Indian household.”
The new range is available starting 6th May 2026 across major retail outlets and e-commerce platforms, with entry-level prices for the Essential Series starting at ₹20,900 for washing machines and ₹25,500 for refrigerators.
