Ever since its release in September 2019, the high-speed Asus ROG Phone 2 has been upheld as one of the best gaming smartphones and a worthy successor to the powerful ROG Phone. Now ROG Phone users can enroll themselves to show their mettle in an online gaming tournament – named ‘Battle of Gods’.
The first season of the tournament will last for 12 weeks with PUBG Mobile as the chosen game, where every Friday, participants will go head-to-head in dedicated Battle Royale rooms to see who comes out on top. This is also Asus’ efforts to help people stay indoors and play a hand in overcoming the threat of the pandemic. The top players will qualify for the final match which will then be telecasted across eSports channels in India, and will have an opportunity to win a collective purse of Rs. 6,60,000.
The Battle of Gods is one of the first smartphone eSports tournament held by Asus Republic of Gamers (ROG). “Abiding to the lock-down rules, we have designed this initiative to continue engagement with our ROG Phone community, enabling ROG Phone users to interact with each other through E Sports within the safety of their homes. Further the tournament gives our ROG Phone users a perfect opportunity to demonstrate their gaming skills and win big cash rewards. Games are the perfect platform to engage and connect”, says Dinesh Sharma, Business Head of the Smartphone Division at Asus India.
