After an explosive 2016, Samsung has chosen to err on the side of caution and opted to reveal the flagship S8 at an event in March 2017. Instead, they’ve chosen to unveil the Galaxy Tab S3 and two more Windows 10 tablets.
The 2048x1536p display now supports HDR video and a four speaker system with AKG audio. Samsung claims that each speaker can auto rotate redirecting sound depending on how the tablet is held. A new S Pen is also bundled with the tablet which is a departure from the smaller and thinner styluses from the company. It has a new 0.7mm tip with over 4,000 levels of pressure sensitivity but it doesn’t have any pen holder or magnetic attachment.
An optional keyboard is available for doing some heavy duty word processing. Since the case connects to the bottom of the tablet via pogo pin it doesn’t need to be paired or charged. It is held in place magnetically.
No pricing details or release date has been revealed.
