The Oppo A52 is the newest addition to Oppo’s value smartphone range and has an affordable price tag of Rs. 16,990. This latest iteration bring significant upgrades over the age-old A51, and is going to be available on 17th June on major platforms.
The Oppo A52 runs on an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 665 processor and houses a large 5000mAh battery fostering extended usage. The A52 is available in three RAM variants: the 6GB+128GB (at Rs. 16,990), the 4GB+128GB and the 8GB+128GB, where the storage can be further extended by 256GB through a dedicated MicroSD card slot.
With a 16MP f/2.0 punch-hole camera as a part of the 6.5-inch FHD+ Neo-display screen, the Oppo A52 offers a resolution of 1080×2400 with a 405 PPI pixel density. It also hosts a quad-cam rear setup with a 12MP f/1.8 main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide-angle lens, a 2MP mono lens and a 2MP portrait lens. ‘Ultra Clear Night Mode 2.0’ further enhances the quality of images by increasing its details in low-light situations.
The A52 is also capable to shoot 4K videos, the quality of which is aided by the built-in electronic image stabilisation ‘Anti-Shake’ technology. While the wide-angle camera comes in handy while shooting videos too, the A52 is also capable of shooting slow-motion at 120fps.
The phone weighs just 192g and runs on Oppo’s very-own and customised ColorOS 7.1 which is based on the Android 10 architecture. The A52 also has Dual Stereo Speakers which aim to provide a surround sound effect.
Oppo A52 has a LPDDR4x memory and also has a side fingerprint unlock feature. All in all, the A52 hosts some expected features while not really having anything new to offer when compared to other phones in a similar range. The A52 is available in Twilight Black and Stream White colour variants and also has some cashback and no-cost-EMI options for those interested in purchasing the phone.
