LG launched the G5 for India at an event in Gurgaon today. The modular flagship device has a metal unibody design sporting a slide-out battery tray. The top of the line hardware is governed by the latest Android Marshmallow with LG’s very own Sense UI.
The modular tag comes into play with a 2,800mAh swappable battery and various add-ons, such as the Cam Plus, a camera grip adding 1,100mAh battery and dedicated hardware controls like video button, zoom controls, hardware toggle. Another add-on is the Bang & Olufsen DAC module which ensure high-quality sound output. LG has made the smart move of granting access to the modular components to third parties, so expect a wide variety of add-ons in the near future.
The LG G5 is priced at Rs. 52,990 and is sold exclusively on Flipkart.
