Spotlight Presentation Remote from Logitech aims to change presentations

Logitech has brought in their new Spotlight Presentation Remote to the country which is a complete departure from their previous models. The device has merged in the functionality of a traditional clicker with a laser pointer by completely modernising the approach.

Spotlight enables users to highlight and magnify on-screen content as well as interact with it or navigate slides from upto 100 feet away. It also includes mouse-like cursor control to play videos and open links. Both the cursor and highlights are visible to the audience and even viewers in a video conference.

An app designed for it helps users toggle pointer mode, set timed vibration alerts or activate gesture enabled volume control. Logitech claims the app will be updated with additional features over time. The plug and play remote is compatible with most platforms and presentation apps. It connects instantly via USB receiver or Bluetooth smart. 1 minute of charge gives around 3 hours of usage.

Logitech Spotlight Presentation Remote is available at all leading retail and e-tail stores at a price of Rs.8,995.

Wonderboom from Ultimate Ears is the is perfect pool party speaker

Ultimate Ears has extended its speaker family with the addition of the new Wonderboom. The Bluetooth enabled speaker is waterproof and portable enough to be carried around with you. The design even sports a hanging loop so that the speaker can be hung on a wall or hooked onto a bag.

The device has a few multi-function buttons and a minimalist design approach. There is no App, Microphone, Speakerphone or 3.5mm audio jack and so caters to an audience who only listens to wireless audio. The Wonderboom outputs 360 degree sound at 86dB. It comes with IPX7 rating making it waterproof as it can survive immersion in water upto 1m for 30 minutes and can even survive a drop from upto 5ft.

It takes around 2.8 hours for a complete charge and provides upto 10 hours battery life. Pairing with any Bluetooth wireless audio profile (A2DP) supported device, it has a wireless range of 100ft/30m.

Wonderboom is being sold at a price of Rs.7,995 on Amazon India and will soon be available in offline stores. It comes in 6 colours (shown above in order of display): Stone (Grey), Phantom (Black), Fireball (Red), SubZero (Blue), Cashmere (Pink) and Lilac. There is a 2 year limited hardware warranty provided by Logitech.

Logitech launches K840 mechanical keyboard in India

Mechanical keyboards are great for typing and if you’re looking for one, Logitech has announced the K840 for the Indian market. The keyboard features Logitech’s exclusive Romer-G mechanical switches that offer a good tactile feedback with every keystroke.

Furthermore, the keyboard comes with an anodised aluminium body with a textured finish, Windows Lock function to prevent an inadvertent press of the Windows key, easy access to media and shortcut keys and Logitech Options software support that allows to reprogram the F1-F4 function keys.

The keyboard is priced at Rs. 6,495.

Logitech CREATE is backlit keyboard for your iPad Pro

Logitech recently announced the CREATE Backlit Keyboard Case for the 9.7 inch iPad Pro. It is a versatile toolkit that gives users a protective case, backlit keyboard and integrated holder for the Apple pencil.

Designed to work exclusively with Apple’s Smart Connector, the keyboard case automatically powers on and pairs with the iPad Pro when placed in the typing position. Bluetooth pairing is not required and no need to charge the keyboard since it is powered directly by the iPad Pro. There is an easy to access row of dedicated iOS shortcuts to help save user time without the need to touch the screen. You can get to the home screen, search the iPad and the web, adjust brightness and control audio or video playback.

The case also provides protection from minor bumps, scratches and spills. It measures 248.2×178.45×22.89mm and weighs 277 grams. The CREATE keyboard has a retail price of Rs.9,995 and comes with a 1 year limited hardware warranty.

Logitech outs G310 mechanical gaming keyboard with Romer-G switches

The G310 Atlas Dawn Compact Mechanical Gaming keyboard (to give it its full name) features Logitech's Romer-G switches, which the company claims are 25% faster than the ones on Cherry MX keyboard's mechanical switches and possess a 1.5mm actuation distance.

In theory, this means that it should take less time to execute commands while proving more durable in the long run.

Spotted on Logitech's Malaysian website, the G310 bears a resemblance to Logitech's Orion Spark G910 mechanical keyboard. It's shorter due to the lack of a number pad, which should make it more bag-friendly for easier transportation.

Other features include illuminated keys that work with Logitech Gaming Software, an Arx Control Dock that lets you prop up a smartphone to view in-game info and system statistics, and performance facet keycaps for comfortable typing.

Priced at 499 RM (around Rs. 8400), there's no word yet on UK pricing or availability. T3 has contacted Logitech to find out more.
