Lenovo Legion from the company will be focusing exclusively on gaming hardware including everything from peripherals to laptops. For the moment two laptops and a VR headset will launch under the sub-branding.
The Lenovo Legion Y720 is powered by 7th gen Intel Core i7 processor, upto 16GB DDR RAM and Nvidia Geforce GTX 1060 with 6GB GDDR5 VRAM graphics. It offers storage options of 128GB, 256GB, 512GB SSD or 1TB, 2TB of HDD. The 15.6 IPS anti-glare display is available in Full HD (1920x1080p) or UHD (3840x2160p) resolution. Lenovo claims it is the first laptop to make use of Dolby Atmos technology. The device uses an optimised thermal cooling system and offers upto 5 hours of battery life. A backlit keyboard rounds up this 3.2kg weighing device.
The Lenovo Legion Y520 runs on 7th gen Intel Core i7 processor with Nvidia Geforce GTX 1050Ti graphics. It makes use of a 15.6″ Full HD (1920x1080p) IPS display providing the same memory and storage options as the Y720. The laptop uses two Harmon Kardon speakers for audio and weighs 2.4kg.
The Lenovo VR Headset has an interesting design which makes the lens rest on the forehead instead of the nose. It uses two 1440x1440p OLED panels for display and is compatible with Microsoft Windows Holographic Program.
Availability of the devices is expected before the end of April.
