HTC announce the price and date of HTC 10, HTC One X9

HTC confirmed the launch of the HTC 10, HTC One X9 and 4 more phones from the Desire range for the Indian market. The flagship HTC 10 will be competing with other Snapdragon 820 smartphones like Samsung Galaxy S7, S7 Edge and the upcoming LG G5.

The HTC 10 comes in an aluminium unibody design featuring superior sound quality with BoomSound technology, Dolby Surround Sound and 24bit DAC. Running on the latest Android 6.0 with HTC Sense, the company has ensured there is no redundancy of apps. The entire range will come with the same almost pure Android OS. The HTC One X9 is is basically an updated HTC One M9 featuring the same front and rear cameras that made it a hit. No word on whether HTC 10 Lifestyle will make it to India.

The HTC 10 is priced at Rs. 52,990 and will go on sale from 6 June. The HTC One X9 will go on sale from 20 June at a price of Rs. 25,990.

MWC 16: HTC announce a range of devices

HTC returned to their designer phone roots with the introduction of a trio of devices – the Desire 530, 630 and 825 running on Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS.

The relatively top-end model of the trio, the 825 comes in Graphite Grey Remix and Stratus White colours which can be further customized with snap on cases. The phone features a 5.5″ LCD with 720x1280p resolution powered by a Snapdragon 400 quad-core chipset clocked at 1.4GHZ paired with 2GB RAM. It has 16GB internal storage expandable via microSD slot. The stereo speakers are Hi-Res audio certified including Boomsound with Dolby Audio. Rounding up the list is the 13MP rear camera and 5MP front camera.

The dual-sim Desire 630 has similar specs with the exception of the smaller 5″ 720x1280p screen and 2,200mah battery.

The Desire 530 includes a Snapdragon 210 and 1.5GB RAM making it the lowest end model of the lot. The remaining specs are the same as the 630 although it loses the High-Res certification.

The devices will be available for sale from March 2016 directly from HTC and other online retailers.

HTC Desire 626 Dual-sim makes its Indian debut

After being available abroad for a while, HTC has introduced the Desire 626 to India. Running on an unspecified Android OS with HTC Sense UI, the 4G Dual SIM supported is the nano sized version.

The smartphone features a 5” 720x1280p display powered by a 1.7 GHz octa-core MediaTek MT6752 coupled with 2GB RAM. It includes 16GB inbuilt storage expandable upto 32GB via microSD. On the connectivity front, it supports Bluetooth 4.1, Wi-Fi b/g/n, micro-USB 2.0 port and a 3.5mm stereo jack. A 13MP rear camera along with a 5MP front camera complete the package. A 2000mAh battery powers the device.

The Desire 626 weighing 135gm will be available in 2 colour variants – Blue Lagoon (pictured above) and White Birch at a price of Rs.14,990.
