Samsung has launched the 2018 iteration of the Galaxy A8+ at an event in the capital today. The smartphone has inherited the Infinity display from the flagship Galaxy S8 that was launched early last year.
The A8+ sports an Always On display with FHD+ (1080x2220p) resolution and 18.5:9 aspect ratio. The all glass and metal device is IP68 rated for dust and water resistance. Owing to the display size, the fingerprint sensor has been shifted to the back.
Coming to the optics, the dual front camera setup has f/1.9 aperture supporting AR stickers, Live Focus for bokeh shots and Portrait mode. On the flip side, the rear camera has f/1.7 aperture and Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF). It comes with Samsung Pay enabled and is the first A series device to support Samsung Gear.
Priced at Rs.32,999, Samsung Galaxy A8+ will be sold exclusively on Amazon India from 20 January 2018.
