XGIMI launches Aura – an all-new 4K Laser TV Ultra Short Throw Projector

With home entertainment devices gaining momentum since the start of the pandemic, projectors, specifically have seen a rise in sales. The award-winning XGIMI have just added a brand-new 4K Ultra Short Throw Laser Projector that comes at a steep price but brings great features along with it.

Supporting 4K UHD resolutions, and HDR 10, the XGIMI Aura fosters 2400 ANSI Lumens. The Aura is powered by a MT9629 processor, a Mali-G52 GPU, and a 2GB RAM. With 32GB of internal storage capacity, the Aura also comes with the latest MEMC technology.

The Aura runs on Android 10 TV and comes with built-in Chromecast. This 4K projector not only enhances the visuals through its superior features, but also delivers high-quality audio through 2 Harman Kardon 15W woofers and tweeters. These audio components deliver crisp highs, dynamic midranges, and an ‘oomph’ factor in the bass.

To protect the users’ eyesight, the light source in the Aura reduces its intensity or becomes darker whenever someone gets close to it. The Aura is compatible with TVs, Xbox, PlayStation, Blu-ray player, and other gaming consoles, along with Nintendo Switch and other smart devices.

XGIMI launches two new projectors to reshape home-cinema trends: Horizon & Horizon Pro

With a view to transform home entertainment and viewing experiences, XGIMI have launched two new state-of-the-art projectors under the umbrella of its celebrated ‘Horizon’ series. The ‘Horizon’ and the ‘Horizon Pro’ projectors are both, powerful devices, and elegantly designed, packing in a heavy load of features. Let’s delve deeper into the features of each.

XGIMI Horizon

The XGIMI Horizon is a versatile, easy-to-use, adaptable and feature-rich projector when it comes to imaging and performance-consistency. The XGIMI Horizon is equipped with a FHD Optical Engine and cutting-edge auto-focus which delivers a resolution of 1920×1080 even on a screen size of 300 inches. Image clarity is bolstered through XGIMI’s X-VUE image engine system, and low latency and a reduction in image blur is obtained through the integration of the MEMC frame interpolation technology.

XGIMI Horizon

The Horizon is also equipped with XGIMI’s 60Hz motion compensation technology, ensuring image stability. XGIMI’s automatic keystone correction technology deserves a mention as it can align the picture vertically and horizontally to custom fit the users’ walls. A manual keystone further aids customisation. The projector provides a maximum brightness of 2200 ANSI Lumens, a lamp life of up to 25,000 hours, and is also integrated with HDR10 technology. It runs on Android TV 10.0 and it is also armed with the Google Assistant. The projector 1 DC port, 2 HDMI 2.0 ports, 2 USB 2.0 ports, and a single LAN port.

The Horizon Pro is a versatile and easy-to-use 4K home projector from XGIMI. Along with an impressive 40-degree automatic keystone correction technology which aligns the picture vertically and horizontally to fit users’ walls or screens to a perfect aspect ratio. The manual keystone allows further customisation up to 45 degrees, laterally.

XGIMI Horizon Pro

The Horizon Pro is equipped with cutting-edge autofocus which delivers clear image qualities to screen sizes up to 300 inches. It also offers a maximum brightness of 2200 ANSI Lumens which doesn’t compromise picture quality even in bright environments. With a lamp life of 25,000 hours, the Horizon Pro’s image quality is further enhanced through its X-VUE image engine, 60Hz motion compensation technology, and MEMC frame interpolation technology.

ViewSonic emerges as the Global DLP Projector Market Leader in Q1 2021

Jumping up two spots from 2020, ViewSonic is now at the top of the rankings in Q1 2021 in the Digital Light Processing (DLP) projector market – at a global level – according to latest reports. With ViewSonic increasing 18% year over year (YOY) in Q1 2021, their speed of innovation, launches, and sales has paid off now with their market performance increasing, too, across the globe.

Ultra Mobile and Dedicated Home Cinema sectors or products saw the greatest increase in sales, by 93% and 82%, respectively. ViewSonic also mentions how the DLP projectors are now being preferred over LCD projectors since the pandemic-stricken Q2 2020. The digital processing nature of DLPs ‘provides control for consistent performance over time and gives long-lasting realistic colours without deterioration’.

ViewSonic adds to its home entertainment portfolio with a new 4K projector

Offering true 4K clarity, the new PX701-4K projector is ViewSonic’s latest addition to its impressive range of home entertainment systems and projectors, in which, they’ve been rolling out new products at quite an impressive pace in order to appeal to the new normal that has set in, with people still being at home on most occasions.

The PX701-4K boasts of a 3200 ANSI lumens brightness and also offers a 240Hz refresh rate, which makes gaming much more immersive. The projector provides a comprehensive H/V keystone – the latter freeing up the user from manual adjustments – and 4 corner adjustment capabilities. The lamp life of the projector is also boosted to 15,000-20,000 hours through the integration of the SuperEco+ mode technology.

Through the ‘Project Wrapping Tool’ tech, the PX701-4K offers a perfect projection even on a uneven surfaces. A 10W integrated speaker and ViewSonic’s very own ‘SuperColor Technology’ enhances the viewer’s audio-visual experiences by providing richer sounds and colourful visuals.

The PX701-4K, aimed at those with deeper-than-usual pockets, is priced at Rs. 1,99,000 – which is a little steep, we know, but it surely does promise to offer stunning picture quality and an enhanced viewing/gaming experience.

ViewSonic launches the premium X100-4K UHD home theatre LED projector

Keeping in mind the new era of streaming and the effects of the pandemic still clinging on, ViewSonic have launched a premium LED projector to address the viewing needs –  of those with resources and space at home or their personal spaces – through high-end features and a certain degree of swagger.

The X100-4K+ UHD projector delivers a brightness of 2900 lumens through a 2nd-generation LED technology and its design greatly enhances the viewers audio-visual experience. Along with HDR imaging, the X100-4K+ also comes with the cinema supercolor+ technology with 125% Rec.709 and Harman Kardon-customised audio.

The projector also features ViewSonic’s unique wide lens shift, which offers a range of H: +/- 25%, V: +60%. This enables users to adjust the location of the projected image without the need to move the projector. ViewSonic’s audio design is also given a boost through their ability to lower the fan noise to abou 20dB, and this also makes the viewing experience better even if the users don’t have an external sound system.
