Use your face to lock your phone with Privacy Knight

Chinese e-commerce company Alibaba launched Privacy Knight in India, the first free app with face lock in the country. Privacy Knight lets users lock their apps through a selfie using the front camera of the phone.

Alibaba claims that the app works within one second during which it locks the smartphone and blink detection support ensures 99.47% face recognition accuracy.

The app works offline and doesn’t require registration information from the user. It also offers features like App Lock, Clean, Fake Cover, Fake Icon, Themes, Intruder Selfie, Themes, Vault.

The app is currently available for download on Android only.

TRAFI decides to help India improve it’s public transportation

Gameplay videos come to Gamesbond

Mauj Mobile’s gaming store Gamesbond has introduced gameplay videos as the latest feature. The move comes just weeks after Youtube Gaming was launched in India. Two types of videos will be presented on the platform. One will be gameplay videos giving users a preview of what sort of realistic gaming experience they can expect while the other will be professionally created content concentrating on different game genres.

The gameplay videos will not be generating any revenue and will be sourced from the user-generated content providers on the site. Every Friday, a game of the week is highlighted on the curated website.

Gamesbond was launched in India last year, hosting premium content from both local and foreign developers.

Hotstar goes premium with HBO Original shows

Hotstar, Star India’s video-streaming platform, has launched its monthly subscription service called Hotstar Premium.

The premium membership offers original content from HBO and brings in at a recurring monthly cost of Rs 199. Another good part of the service is the content that is offered is completely uncensored, unlike the censors that apply to shows before airing it on a television channel. Some of the shows include Game Of Thrones, Veep, Silicon Valley and Banshee.

Alongside the premium offering, users will still be able to enjoy free content from Star channels and IPL.
