Amazon India today expanded its Echo family with the new Echo Spot. The biggest change from the existing Echo range is the inclusion of a display, which means you can view the information on that you ask Alexa on the screen.
The Echo Spot is small enough to be used on a desk or on the nightstand and offers some persistent views like showing off the clock, weather information, shopping and to-do lists and more. The most interesting thing however, is to watch videos. Although not ideal for a full-length movie, the Echo Spot is good enough to play trailers and news bulletins. The Echo Spot is also equipped with a camera that can be used to make video calls to other Echo users or anyone who has the Alexa app installed.
The Echo Spot is priced at Rs. 12,999 but is currently available at a discount bringing the final price to Rs. 10,499 or Rs. 19,999 if you purchase two Echo Spot devices.
The existing Echo range, which includes Echo Dot, Echo and Echo Plus are also going at a discount right now at Rs. 3,999, Rs. 7,999 and Rs. 14,999 with a free Hue bulb respectively.
