Originally announced at MWC early this year, Asus has launched Zenfone 5z for the Indian market today. This is the first flagship device for the year from the company.
Running on Android Oreo based ZenUI 5.0, Zenfone 5z has a full HD+ display with 19:9 aspect ratio boasting 95% DCI-P3 coverage and 90% screen-to-body ratio. The 3300mAh battery on offer supports fast charging over USB Type-C but there is no wireless charging. On the audio front, there is an enhanced stereo speaker setup and Hi-Res audio can be played through compatible headphones.
On the rear, the dual camera system consists of a Sony IMX363 sensor with 12MP having 1.4um pixels, f/1.8 aperture, dual pixel phase detection autofocus, four axis optical image stabilisation and electronic image stabilisation. The secondary camera is an 8MP wide angle sensor that will help in portrait photography and adding depth of field. On the front is a single 8MP camera with f/2.0 aperture with 84 degree Field of View. It also comes with face unlock which supplements the fingerprint sensor at the back.
Sold exclusively on Flipkart from 9 July, 2018, Asus Zenfone 5z is priced at Rs.29,999 for 6+64GB, Rs.32,99 for 6+128GB and Rs.36,999 for 8+256GB.
