Vivo released the V5 Plus today just 2 months after the launch of the V5. It is the first smartphone in India to launch with a dual front camera snapper.
The 20MP front camera makes use of a Sony IMX376 sensor with f/2.0 aperture and a 5P lens system while the 8MP snapper is used for exclusively measuring the depth of field (DoF) of the device. So now a bokeh effect can be easily created when taking selfies. The rear camera is equipped with LED flash and Phase Detection AutoFocus(PDAF).
The device is running on the Funtouch OS 3.0 based on the Marshmallow iteration of Android. The Smart Screen-Split feature allows users to multitask without having to switch between them so chatting and video viewing can be done at the same time. It also supports fast charging through the use of the twin-charging engine. A custom-built AK4376 Hi-Fi audio chip outputs music that will satisfy all the audiophiles out there. The fingerprint scanner can unlock the screen in under 0.2 seconds.
Open for preorders, the V5 Plus is priced at Rs.27,980 and will go on sale next month from 1 February.
