August 31, 2016 by Ankush Mahajan

Playstation Now, the new streaming service from Sony is now available for PC users. Effectively, Windows PC owners can play over 400 PS3 games without owning a PS3, with PS1 and PS2 games coming further down the line. PS Now had first launched in 2014 for Playstation systems and Sony Bravia Smart TVs.

The service is updated periodically with new games, including popular and exclusive PS titles such as the Uncharted trilogy, Ratchet and Clank and God of War 3. Earlier this month, a Dualshock 4 USB Wireless Adapter was also announced for Windows PC, priced at $24.99 with plans for launching it in early September.

The PS Now client is reminiscent of the Netflix UI with a long list of scrolling boxes neatly divided into various categories for easy searching.

The service has a monthly charge of $19.99, $44.99 for three months and a limited-period offer of $99 for 1 year. There is a also a free seven-day trial for those on the fence about the service. No news on when the service lands in India.

The minimum PC system requirements are as follows:
OS: Windows 7 Service Pack 1, Windows 8.1, or Windows 10
CPU: Intel Core i3 3.5 GHz, AMD A10 3.8GHz or faster
HDD space: 300MB or more
RAM: 2GB or more
