Hacking is your weapon again in Watch_Dogs 2

June 9, 2016 by Ankush Mahajan

Many teasers and leaks later, Ubisoft officially pulled the curtains off Watch_Dogs 2 divulging lots of information about the game. Hacking is making a return once again as the lynch-pin of the whole experience.

This time around the game takes place in San Francisco with a completely new protagonist. Marcus Holloway is an African-American who has been the victim of wrong police profiling and accused of a crime he didn’t commit. He is much more athletic and expressive than the protagonist of the original game, Aiden Pearce. This is evident through his faster movement, fighting style and interaction with other characters. No word yet on whether Aiden will be making an appearance.

Ubisoft Montreal claims that the world is fully hackable so much so that even cars can be hacked. Reflecting real world tech, drones and robots are also making their presence known. Perhaps the biggest change is the introduction of cooperative play with Ubisoft claiming that you can play the full game in multiplayer.

Watch_Dogs 2 releases on November 15, 2016 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One.
