After months of leaks and speculation, OnePlus 3 is finally out and available for purchase to everyone in India. The phone had been sold exclusively to OnePlus VR loop users for a limited time before sales opened to the general public. The flagship device has dropped the Sandstone feel in place of a smooth all-metal unibody which is quite a huge departure. It is also the first smartphone sold in India with 6GB RAM. The highlights of the OP3 include a 5.5″ Optic Amoled, 64GB Ultra Fast Storage (UFS) which is faster than regular eMMC storage, Dash Charge which can fully charge the battery in just over an hour, a physical toggle on the left of the device for switching between noise and silent modes, 16MP rear camera with Phase Detection AutoFocus (PDAF) and Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). While NFC is present on the device, Infrared is missing.
Fans can also visit one of 3 pop-up stores to purchase the OP3 directly. They are being held in New Delhi on June 15, Mumbai on June 17 and Bangalore on June 18.
The Graphite variant of OP3 is available exclusively on Amazon India at a price of Rs. 27,999 while the Soft Gold variant will be coming soon at an unspecified date. The company dropped the invite system so the phone will be sold until stocks last.
