Acer expands its audio portfolio with three new wireless earbuds

Along with a pair of premium wireless earbuds launched under their acquired Gateway brand, Acer have also announced two of their very own true wireless earbuds, which feature all that one would expect and more through an advanced design and a LED display on their case. Let’s get into each of these three TWS earphones and see what they have to offer.

The Gateway TWS earbuds – GAHR012 – comes in a stick form factor, coloured in white, and in chic design with vinyl finish. Like some of the premium earbuds out there, the GAHR 012 pairs with phones, tablets, PC’s and other devices, instantly once the case is opened. There is also a ‘Current Battery Display’ on the earbuds case. These earbuds get fully charged in 90 minutes and they also have the touch/tap feature to aid users in controlling the music, calls, and accessing voice assistance apps.

The Gateway GAHR 012 earbuds cost Rs. 4,499.

The Acer GAHR 010 earbuds are designed in a classy black finish and when connected via Bluetooth to the user’s smartphone, the battery percentage is displayed on the top right corner as well. The translucent charging case, like the GAHR 012, comes with a LED digital display on the top.

The GAHR 011 has similar features like the GAHR 010, and both the earbuds are equipped with the touch/tap capabilities. The GAHR 010 consists of a Type-C charging port and the GAHR 011 comes with a USB Type C + USB Type A charging port.

Play launches the lightweight TWS and ANC PlayGo T44 and PlayGo N82

Play has launched its first-ever True Wireless Stereo (TWS) earphones with the PlayGO T44, an extremely lightweight featuring ‘half-in-ear’ design similar to the first iteration of Apple’s AirPods. Along with the T44, Play has also announced the launch of their premium noise cancelling PlayGo N82 that will be available in the second week of August.

PlayGo T44 is equipped with a 500mAh battery and along with the charging case, the earbuds provide a total battery life of over 20 hours. Apart from promising to deliver HD sound quality, each T44 earbud weighs only 3.5g and boast of a 10mm ‘Extra Base Extra Loud’ (EBEL) drivers.

The charging case is also portable and sleekly-designed, enabling users to slip into their pockets. On opening the charging case, the T44 connects to the paired device automatically. The T44 also provides touch control, where users can touch to accept or reject calls and control the music as well.

Play’s TWS T44s also have in-built microphones at the base of the earbud, enabling better quality calls. With a Bluetooth v5.0 connectivity, the T44 can be paired with latest devices.

While the T44 is commercially available, the PlayGo N82 is set to release in mid-August in the price range upwards of Rs. 10,000. However, Play did reveal a few details and the highlight is the Active Noise Cancelling (ANC) technology and possess 13mm ‘EBEL’ drivers on the neckband earphones. The N82 also provides over 18 hours of battery-life even with the ANC mode turned on.

Ambrane’s Beats Duo are TWS stereo earbuds with voice assistant features

Ambrane has added yet another mobile accessory to their wide range of products by launching ‘Beats Duo’, their true wireless earphones with buil-in Google and Siri voice assistant. Priced at Rs. 3,299, they seem to be priced competitively.

The Beats Duo sells in black colour and it uses the Bluetooth v5.0 technology for connections up to 10 meters. Compatible with Android and iOS devices, these earphones support both, the Google Voice Assistant and Siri.

When it comes to audio, Ambrane claims that the high-quality sound drivers deliver HD audio, with “high bass and rich treble”. More so, each earbud has a microphone in order to assist clearer voice calls in a noisy environment. The Beats Duo provides up to 7 hours of battery life in a single charge and when used with its charging case, it provides up to 29 hours of total playback time. Users can make calls, play music, and more.

The touch sensors on the earbuds help with volume control, managing calls, playback control, and engaging the in-built voice assistant. The Beats Duo are also IPX4 water-resistant. Additionally, these earbuds can be used either in the ‘Stereo’ mode or the ‘Mono’ mode.
