LG officially confirmed on their Facebook page that the G5 will feature an “always on” display. As of this moment, it’s unclear which display technology will be used for the screen. LG recently tested the waters by using a small secondary display in the recent V10. Similar technology had made its debut in the form of the Active display from Moto X back in 2013.
A unibody made entirely of metal and certain other rumours suggest the latest flagship is a departure from previous top-end phones from the LG stable.
A lot is shrouded in mystery at this point which LG will hopefully dispel at the upcoming MWC 2016.
