After getting unveiled a day before at New York, OnePlus 6T has been officially launched in India. The new device proceeds the OnePlus 6 that was released earlier in the year.
The 6.41″ FHD+ (1080x2340p) AMOLED display in it has an aspect ratio of 19:5:9 with SRGB coverage of 100.63% and DCI-P3 colour gamut support. Having a peak brightness of over 600 nits, it is protected by Gorilla Glass 6. The waterdrop notch is smaller than the one on the older model contributing towards the slightly bigger screen. It runs on the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC paired with 6 or 8GB RAM. The dual rear camera setup consists of a primary 16MP Sony IMX519 sensor with f/1.7 aperture and 1.22micron pixels while the secondary 20MP Sony IMX 376K sensor has f/1.7 aperture and 1micron pixels. It is capable of 4K video recording at 60fps and super slow motion video at 240fps (1080p) and 480fps (720p). Low light photography has been improved with the introduction of Nightscene and Studio Lighting is aimed at natural Portrait photos.
Out of the box, the 6T runs on OxygenOS based on the latest Android 9.0 Pie that has been tweaked to be more responsive and perform quicker than before. While there still isn’t a stereo speaker setup, Dirac HD Sound and Dirac Power Sound is supported. The 3700mAh battery comes with fast charge possible through the charger included in the box. The new in-display fingerprint sensor is capable of unlocking the device in just 0.34 seconds. Watch it in action here. The 3.5mm headphone jack and LED notification light have been dropped unfortunately.
The OnePlus 6T is available in 3 variants: 6GB RAM+128GB (Rs.37,999), 8GB RAM+128GB (Rs.41,999) and 8GB RAM+256GB (Rs.45,999). For now they come in two colours namely Mirror Black and Midnight Black.
