The BenQ MA270S is a 27-inch 5K (5120×2880) Nano Gloss monitor built for Mac creators, delivering true Retina-level sharpness that pairs seamlessly with macOS scaling. Priced at around ₹94,998 in India, it undercuts the Apple Studio Display (starting ~₹1,89,900) by a significant margin while matching key strengths for productivity and content work.
Sleek design with a clean, modern aesthetic that complements Mac setups. The included height-adjustable stand feels premium and practical. Display performance shines: text is razor-sharp, contrast is nice with richer blacks than many IPS panels, brightness is good (around 450 nits), and colour accuracy looks good with strong 99% P3 coverage. It handles creative workflows well, with Thunderbolt 4 for single-cable 96W charging, daisy-chaining, and KVM convenience. HDR support adds pop for media consumption.
It’s a true Studio Display rival, with excellent image quality, sharp text, ergonomic flexibility, and more ports, without Apple’s premium tax. Minor backlight bleed is minimal, and uniformity is strong.
The Benq MA270S needs to be compared to the Apple’s Studio Display, offering superior build, camera, speakers, and deeper macOS integration but at nearly double the price with fewer ports and a fixed or pricier stand. Other 27-inch options are ASUS ProArt or Dell UltraSharp 4K models are cheaper but lack native 5K Retina scaling perfection for Mac. The MA270S strikes the best balance for most users seeking crisp, color-accurate productivity without compromise on essentials.

The last word:
At this price, the MA270S is a compelling pick for MacBook or Mac Studio owners wanting premium visuals and features. Highly recommended for editors, designers, and professionals who value performance over brand polish.
