The centerpiece of this evolution is the reinvented TARA, a multimodal AI assistant. Unlike basic chatbots, TARA is deeply embedded into the app’s core, understanding natural intent in English, Hindi, and “Hinglish.” Whether planning a complex multi-city itinerary or responding to a prompt like “Help me, I forgot my anniversary,” TARA provides hyper-personalized recommendations based on user history.
Key innovations include:
- Agentic Travel Flows: AI agents autonomously handle tasks like syncing boarding passes to digital wallets and coordinating room readiness with hotels.
- Trip Mode: A real-time companion that tracks flight delays, baggage belts, and weather, providing a unified view of the entire journey.
- Hyper-Personalized UI: A sleek new interface, including dark mode, that adapts dynamically to the user’s current travel stage.
Group CEOs Aloke Bajpai and Rajnish Kumar emphasized that this shift moves beyond “AI patches” to an agent-led future, creating a seamless, intuitive experience for India’s “Next Billion Users.”
