The Vive, developed in partnership with Valve, has been priced and the final bundle been revealed. It includes wireless tracked controllers, room sensors, a front facing camera and an enhanced headstrap with various improvements made over the earlier Pre version.
The system will include 2 free games – Job Simulator: The 2050 Archives and Fantastic Contraption, both of which will be showcasing the VR capabilities of the device. HTC envisions VR usage beyond games and wants to work with developers to create applications for other sectors like healthcare, retail, automotive etc.
Valve has also released a SteamVR tool for users to check PC performance and compatibility with the Vive.
