Today HP unveiled the Chromebook x360 at an event in New Delhi. The device can be used in four modes namely laptop, tablet, stand and tent owing to its covertible nature.
The Chromebook x360 is powered by an 8th Gen Intel Core i3/i5 processor, Intel UHD 620 graphics, 8GB DDR4 RAM, 64GB eMMC storage and a 60W battery. It bears a 14″ diagonal FHD IPS display having multi-touch and boasting of edge-to-edge glass with narrow 7.5mm bezels. Below, the full size keyboard is backlit making it suitable for using in dark environments. Custom tuned Bang&Olufsen (B&O) Play dual speakers provide the sound output while an HD True VisionHD camera takes up webcam duties. Coming to connectivity, we get 2x USB 3.2 Type-C ports, 1x USB 3.1 HP Sleep and Charge port, 1x headphone/ microphone combo, 1x multi-format SD media card reader, WiFi 802.11ac and Bluetooth v4.2.
Running on ChromeOS, over a million apps are supported on it that can be downloaded from the play store. The G-Suite has been completely integrated enabling users to work on cloud-based apps that get stored in Google Drive and are available on the smartphone as well thanks to syncing. Google Assistant is in-built allowing for voice based commands to do various tasks.
Starting from Rs.44,990, the Chromebook x360 will be available to purchase through HP World Stores in 28 cities in India and online on various portals like HP Online store, Amazon and Flipkart. A complimentary 1 year subscription of Google Drive storage with 100GB and unlimited Google Photos storage will be provided. Further, 2GB data everyday for 1 year at Rs.999 from Jio and Meritnation education package worth Rs.35,000 are also being offered.
