Previously unveiled at CES 2019, Dell has launched the Latitude 7400 2-in-1 laptop for the Indian market. The company is touting it to be the smallest 14″ 2-in-1 laptop till date.
The company has managed to fit a 14″ FHD (1920×1080) WVA Touchpanel into a 13.3″ chassis leading to minimal bezels on all sides. The Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protected display has 300 nits brightness and is anti-reflective as well as anti-smudge. It supports the usage of Active Pen which is sold separately. The device can be used in laptop mode, tent mode and tablet mode. The Titan Grey finish body has diamond cut edges which add to the look and ergonomics. It runs on an 8th generation Intel Core i5/i7 processor paired with Intel UHD 620 graphics, upto 16GB LPDDR3 RAM, upto 512GB PCIe NVMe SSD (supporting a maximum of 1TB) and a 78WHr battery.

It includes the world’s first PC proximity sensor powered by Intel’s Context Sensing Technology. The sensor enables Latitude 7400 to automatically wake up after detecting the user’s presence in the vicinity. Dubbed ExpressSign-in, this allows the user to login via Windows Hello without providing any sort of input. It also locks itself when the user gets up and walks away from their desk. Dell has ensured better connectivity with the help of ExpressConnect that should deliver faster data transfer speeds in comparison to normal WiFi. The battery life is said to be an impressive 24 hours with ExpressCharge that boasts of recharging the battery to 80% within an hour. The thermal solution has also gotten an overhaul as aerogel has been used.
Pricing starts at Rs.1,35,000 going upto approximately Rs.1,85,000 and is available for purchase now at the Dell online store. The Dell Thunderbolt Dock (WD19TB) was also shown off having a price of Rs.18,000.
