Xiaomi today announced their latest Android One device – Mi A2. Building on last year’s Mi A1, the phone boasts an improved processor and notably, a better camera.
The 7.3mm thin phone features an aluminium unibody with a curved back panel that is tapered towards the four sides with the front sporting a 5.99-inch 18:9 display protected by Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
The Mi A2 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 660 SoC with Artificial Intelligence Engine, 4/6GB RAM and up to 128GB internal storage. Additionally, there’s a 20MP Sony IMX376 front camera and a 12MP + 20MP AI dual camera, making it one of the exciting camera setup in this price range. There’s 3010mAh battery with Quick Charge 4+ support, dual-SIM, fingerprint sensor and more.
The phone runs Android 8.1 out of the box but will get Android Pie pretty soon, however, the update will be rolled out by Xiaomi, just like they did with the Mi A1.
The Mi A2 will be available on Amazon as well as mi.com, Mi Home stores starting next week for Rs. 16,999 (4/64GB) or you can pre-order the devices on Amazon and mi.com from tomorrow. The 6/128GB will launch at a later date.
