The TK705i isn’t cute, portable, or whimsical. It’s all muscle, intent, and scale, a projector that strides into the room and quietly tells your TV its services are no longer required.

This is commitment in projector form. You install it, align it precisely, and build your entertainment space around it. No casual shifting from room to room; the TK705i wants a permanent home, a dedicated screen, and serious audio to match.
Brightness is its standout strength. With 3,000 ANSI lumens, it thrives where most projectors struggle. Bright living rooms? No issue. Daytime sports with sunlight streaming in? Perfectly watchable. Casual viewing with lights on? Still enjoyable. It doesn’t beg for darkness, it simply performs.
Resolution delivers the next leap: true 4K UHD. At 100–120 inches, the image doesn’t just look big, it looks correct. Text remains crisp, athletes’ faces in live broadcasts stay sharply defined, and games feel visually rich rather than merely oversized. This projector creates events. Match nights get planned. Movie evenings turn intentional. You invite people over specifically for the experience, not because something impromptu popped up.
Smart features run on Google TV, and here the TK705i feels far more polished. Navigation is smooth, app switching is quick, and it behaves like a high-end smart TV replacement rather than a clever gadget running on borrowed power.
Gaming is where it truly separates itself. HDMI 2.1 support and ultra-low input lag make it a serious display for fast shooters, racing titles, and sports games. Everything feels responsive and fluid. It handles games at 4K 60Hz (not 120Hz, despite the HDMI 2.1 port), but the rest impresses: an additional HDMI port and a USB-C display port with Power Delivery, ideal for charging a handheld console while you play.
It isn’t flawless. Black levels aren’t class-leading, and if you’re coming from an OLED TV, darker scenes will reveal the difference. HDR is present but lacks the dramatic punch some expect at this price point. Audio is functional yet uninspiring — external sound isn’t just recommended; it feels mandatory. A proper soundbar or surround setup completes the package.
Portability? None. This projector stays planted. It demands a fixed spot, a good screen, and serious audio investment.
The TK705i is authoritative. It doesn’t make you smile with charm, it makes you nod in appreciation.
A large 4K TV might be the sensible, adult choice. But like choosing projection over TV in the first place, the TK705i isn’t about practicality, it’s about immersion at scale.
This is projection at its most serious, cinematic, and commanding.
