The Nu Republic Cyberstud X8 makes promises as grand as its name, but delivers about as much excitement as lukewarm tea. At ₹899, these earbuds feel as delicate as a house of cards – one drop might be all it takes to send them to earbud heaven.

For gamers, the “gaming mode” feels more like “maybe it’ll work mode.” The lag is so noticeable, you could probably make a sandwich between clicking your mouse and hearing the sound. Plus, these buds have a peculiar talent for warming up faster than your morning coffee, forcing occasional cooldown breaks.
The 13mm drivers and ENC sound impressive on paper, but in reality, the audio experience is about as thrilling as elevator music. Bass exists, technically speaking, though it’s more of a gentle suggestion than actual impact.
The advertised 56-hour battery life and Bluetooth 5.3 connectivity look good on paper, but practical usage reveals frequent connection drops and inconsistent performance. The touch controls are finicky, and the LED lighting feels like an unnecessary addition to an already compromised product.
