TP-Link RE305 Range Extender will help extend your router’s range

Recently TP-Link has added the RE305 Range Extender to its lineup of networking products. It connects to your Wi-Fi router wirelessly and then expands its signal to areas without coverage while reducing signal interface to ensure there is no disconnection.

The extender will be extremely helpful when there are many an obstacle “blocking” the signal when you’re working somewhat on the fringes of the WiFi signal area. With dual band functionality, the device is able to operate over both the 2.4GHz (300Mbps) and 5GHz (867Mbps) bands. This makes it suitable for both low bandwidth work like mails, light browsing and intensive tasks like HD streaming, multiplayer gaming.

Installation is made easy with the Intelligent Signal light which helps find the best location to install the range extender. It can instantly connect to your router with just a press of the router’s WPS button and then pressing the extender’s RE/WPS button. If the router’s WPS button isn’t available then follow the quick setup instructions found on the extender’s web management page.

You can also use TP-Link’s free Tether app available on Android or iOS to setup the range extender. It also provides access to advanced network management. Additionally, you can plugin the Ethernet cable into the RE305 to turn your wired internet connection into a dual band wireless access point.

Priced at Rs.3,299, the device is available for sale offline and soon will be sold online as well.

TP-Link introduces Archer C60 router

TP-Link has unveiled the Archer C60 Wireless Dual Band Router, which comes equipped with five dedicated antennae. It supports speeds of up to 1350mbps, transmitting at the latest wireless standard of 802.11ac.

The Archer C60 can connect to multiple devices at the same time without interruption thanks to dual Wi-Fi bands transmitting at 3×3 MIMO (Multiple-In Multiple-Out). The 2.4GHz band can reach up to 450Mbps while the 5GHz band goes up to 867Mbps. Three of the antennae work at 2.4GHz while the remaining two at 5GHz. The company claims it has been arranged alternately to optimise its dual-band signal for maximum coverage with minimal interference.

Using the TP-Link Tether app available for iOS and Android, users can check network status and adjust Wi-Fi settings. Parental controls can be used to set time limits and block websites. A guest network can also be set up to provide visitors with Wi-Fi access completely separated from the main network.

The device will be available exclusively on Flipkart at a price of Rs 2,999.

TP-Link launches Archer C50 Router

Global company TP-LINK recently announced the launch of the AC1200 Wireless Dual Band Router Archer C50 for the Indian market. The Archer C50 employs 802.11ac technology and operates over both 2.4GHZ and 5GHZ bands.

The ac wireless standard is said to be 3 times faster than wireless N speed delivering a total wireless data transfer rate of upto 1.2Gbps.

The Archer C50 is priced at Rs. 3,599 and comes with a warranty of 3 years.
