Portronics launches Comfy mousepad

Portronics has launched the Comfy mousepad using memory foam which makes it comfortable for the wrists and fingers. The mousepad works with all version of the mouse, whether it’s laser, optical, wired or wireless.

The texture of Comfy does not hamper mouse movements and makes them smooth. The rubberised anti-skid base provides safety against slips. The washable mousepad comes in jet black. It has a size of 24x21x1cm and weighs 128 grams.

Razer Ornata is the world’s first mecha-membrane keyboard

Gaming device-maker Razer has announced the Razer Ornata keyboard series featuring Razer Mecha-Membrane technology. The gaming keyboards have been designed to combine the best of both worlds by using a membrane rubber dome design with mechanical key technology. This results in a soft, cushioned touch delivering a tactile click with each keystroke.

The Razer Mecha-Membrane is a unique mid-height key-cap hybrid, which, the company claims, provides a comfortable and efficient typing experience unique to the Ornata. The Chroma features individually backlit keys powered by Razer Chroma technology which makes use of customisable lighting features that can be synced across various devices. There are around 16.8 million colours and a large variety of effects available.

Custom settings can be created using the Razer Synapse software platform, which can also be shared with other Razer software users via the Razer Chrome Workshop. Currently, in-game Razer Chroma lighting profiles have been integrated into games titles such as Overwatch, Call of Duty: Black Ops III, Blade and Soul etc. These profiles can display tutorials, in-game actions and more.

An alternate version of the Razer Ornata with monochrome green back-lighting is available with the ability to display dynamic lighting effects via Razer Synapse.

The Razer Ornata chrome is priced at $99 while the monochrome Ornata is $20 cheaper at $79. Both will be available worldwide from October 2016.

NETGEAR introduces Nighthawk X4S router

NETGEAR has launched the high-end Nighthawk X4S AC2600 WiFi in India catering to gamers demanding the best in everything. The high performance device optimizes usage of available bandwidth for supporting lag-free online gaming and smoother streaming of HD videos. It supports all Wi-Fi enabled devices ranging from smartphones, notebooks, tablets, smart TVs, gaming consoles, Blu-ray players and media servers.

The AC2600 has 5 Gigabit ethernet ports, 2 SuperSpeed USB 3.0 ports and 1 eSATA port which are more than sufficient to fulfill all connectivity needs.

Priced at Rs. 33,000, the AC2600 is available through authorized NETGEAR partners, reseller channels and retail partners throughout the country. The company is providing 2 years warranty on the device.

NETGEAR introduces WiFi Range Extender EX2700

American networking company NETGEAR launched the NETGEAR WiFi Range Extender EX2700 for the Indian market. The 802.11n device supports WiFi speeds of upto 300Mbps with external antennas providing better performance. The EX2700 works with any WiFi router to boost weak WiFi spots so that a user can get expanded coverage.

The bundled NETGEAR WiFi Analytics app helps users check their WiFi signal strength, network status, measure channel interference and also includes advanced analytics reports.

The NETGEAR N300 WiFi Range Extender comes with a warranty of 2 years and is priced at Rs. 4,500. It is exclusively available on various e-commerce platforms.

Sony releases USB Type-C and Type-A Dual Connection Flash Drive

Sony introduced the latest USB Type-C and USB Type-A dual connection pen drive in the country today. Developed with a reversible plug orientation, the device enables users to transfer files between devices such as Apple Macbook 12″ model 2, PCs, smartphones and tablets with a USB Type-C port and PCs with a mainstream USB Type-A port.

The USB 3.1 Gen 1 (SuperSpeed USB) device has a read speed of upto 130MB/s. The slim and compact metal bodied pen drive is additionally protected by a bundled silicone cover that also comes with a convenient strap hole.
