As the newest addition to their ‘M-Series’ of headphones, Audio-Technica has launched a limited edition of ATH-M50x Professional Monitor Headphones in the chic purple and black colour variants. As giants in the audio industry, there’s little to no doubt about the quality of the new Audio-Technica headphones, but let’s get into some of its features.
The ATH-M50xPB feature 45mm large-aperture drivers and Audio-Technica’s trusted sound-isolating earcups. Audio-Technica also claims that the ATH-M50xPB “provides an unmatched experience for the most critical audio applications, including recording, live sound, broadcast, DJ and personal listening” and in all fairness to them, that surely is something that has been corroborated time and time again in the past.
The newly-launched ATH-M50xPB also delivers better power handling, and a higher SPL capability, with a high-frequency extension and better and deeper bass, and overall sound. The ATH-M50xPB also features the ‘circumaural design contours’ around the ear which aid in providing enhanced sound isolation even in loud environments. The earcups have a swivelling design swivelled, fostering one-ear monitoring as well.
With a better-crafted headband and earpad, along with a collapsible design with a detachable cable, the ATH-M50xPB are designed for portability and convenient storage. The detachable cables include a 1.2-3m coiled cable, a 1.2m straight cable, and a 3m straight cable.
Audio-Technica’s ATH-M50xPB is priced at Rs. 22,072 and comes with a 1 year standard plus two more on registering the headphones. The headphones will be available through Audio-Technica’s dealer network.
